Question!

Why are they Members/Damage Control as opposed to Damage Control/Members?

The only real difference is that no one knows that they're mods at a glance and that their name doesn't show up on "The Moderating Team" which could just be a problem for newer members.

... Just something I'm wondering. I mean... is it supposed to be a secret from new members or something? =\

If it was supposed to be a secret, would I make a pinned topic about it? ;)

I didn't know DC appeared in the staff listing, never looked.

I'll change it around, though I was under the impression that DC/Member and Member/DC didn't have the same posting privileges; probably got it mixed up with some other combination from that trial-and-error session we had back when DC was found to be an option.

I think I speak for the majority of the YCM community when I say congratulations to the new moderators and thank them for the service they are going to provide. Good luck dealing with us!

That's why I added "for new members" at the end.

DC does. Member/DC does not.

I'm pretty sure they have the same posting privileges, but I never bothered to double check. I assume if they didn't, we'd get a complaint from evilfusion.

I've had no change of posting privileges to my knowledge since promotion. From what I gathered from other discussions, DC as only field gives the posting issue. Having Member as the secondary field gives the Member privilege of posting.

The main difference between DC/Member and Member/DC I think is whether it puts you in the "Member" Group or "Damage Control", the latter being a visual tip off that "Hey, that guy you're taunting saying that he has no authority over the Your Deck section actually IS a mod".

OT: Congrats.

I thought mods can't let grudges get in the way of their job. ;)

I may turn a blind eye. =D

Seriously though, I don't think General will be much of a problem. MarbleZone did a fantastic job at raising it's quality, and the members who post here are usually within my view of the rules. Co-modding makes it even easier and more fair to the members by having both of our perspectives. It also can let us bypass the problem of not getting reports and having one of us on at almost all times.

Well I wish you both luck. I had my shot on another forum, which gave me good experience with some of the troubles Mods face. Remember, try to spice up General from time to time.

Hang on a sec.

Have I missed something (well probably not, its probably something I'm not privy too) but some mods have limits on their ability to post?

Strange notion to me.
