Number 17: Ribeyes Dragon [Leviathan Dragon]

Recommended Posts

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rib_eye_steak

WATER Dragon
Rank 3
Xyz/Effect
2 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card gains 500 ATK. If this card has no Xyz Material, it cannot attack your opponent directly.
2000/0

If Revise is a valid "Alternate translation", so is Ribeyes =3

Cards that want level 3 fiends in the grave like Kushano and Infenity Necromancer disagree.

My extra is This, Zenmaines and Leviair. I dunno what you play over Zenmaines unless you're still doing that X-Saber thing.

It adds consistency ._.

And even then, there are other things to put in that take up Zenmaine's slot, such as another LV. 6 like Gaia or Orient, and Blader and such =/

I didn't feel like trying it though so I stuck with my current.

And I still like having Zenmaines.

ANYWAY

Card was broke during hurrdurr TGU ruling.

Now you're being stupid. And also we discussed this a week ago. Also inb4september1format.

I'm not being stupid, it is perfectly valid.

Rib = Rib
Ai = Eye
so
Aisu = Eyes

And now we have Ribeyes. PERFECTLY VALID.

And you inb4d something in the post BEFORE yours. Way to go =/

[s]This has to be one of the dumbest argument TCG has ever had. "Hurr Durr pronounce like you mean it."[/s]

OT: I hate how people say this is broke, instead of Tour Guide. BoM seriously needs to bump back up a couple notches.
[/quote]
[s]It's more "Stop being a damn weeaboo clinging to mistranslations. Revise was never correct and never will be" among other weeaboo-ish things like that.[/s]

OT: ... People call this broken? ._. It's definitely the +0 Xyz maker that sets up the grave...

[s]Which simplifies to "Hurr Durr pronounce it my way or you're a stupidhead."[/s]

OT: You should see how many people quit on me for using a "mainstream" and "broken" monster. The same people who played tourguide the turn before but summoned something else. =/

I'm not arguing about how to spell it, because I more often than not say Leviathan. I'm arguing because no one actually studies Japanese and is simply siding with Konami for no real reason. You can say Leviathan or Revise, as long as you know there is no such card as Leviath.

Lets call Darkplant so he can shut us all up.

Ribaisu

Factors:
L/R confusion
B/V confusion
Potential S/Th confusion
WATER
Potentially ICE related
Serpentine

Leviath is the Japanese name. Leviath or Levice =/ It is definitely not Revise, as that makes no sense, when it's a WATER Ice Dragon. The other two fit much, much more, and Revise was a mistranslation. Why should we listen to Konami? Oh, IDK, because they made the card and know what it is? =/

So I don't study Japanese, but I know enough that this is not Revise, and even if it WAS, why would you use the damn Japanese name?

OT: ... HOW CAN YOU CALL /THIS/ BROKEN? @_@
