DARKPLANT RISING
Today, we will take a look at this truly amazing card: Number 19: Freezerdon. 2 Level 5 monsters Once per turn, if you would activate an effect by detaching Xyz Materials, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. This is arguably one of the best Ultra Rares in Duelist Packs ever, along with Zephyrus the Elite. Everyone compares with this Number 61: Volcasaurus, Freezerdon’s brother, but it is quite obvious this is much, much better. Many say this is waste of Ultra Rare space; no. I will explain why, for those who are yet to understand its utter brokenness. First of all, look: Stardust Dragon is seen frequently in duels. But while Volcasaurus is utterly powerless before him, Freezerdon is different. He will protect you from their attacks with his astronomical Defense Points. In Volcasaurus’s case, due to his extremely weak Defense Points, he will have to be summoned in Attack Position; thus, when fighting Gladiator Beasts, he will be crushed by Forbidden Lance. Tiras, another often used Rank 5, is the same. But Freezerdon? No! Look at his glorious stats. He can be placed in Defense Position without a second thought. Of course this is enough to say the fight is an instant win for Freezerdon, but its top-class powers don’t seem to know where to end. If you use Miracle Fusion with these two monsters, Volcasaurus’s fusion will be utterly crushed against monsters with over 2600 ATK, and it has to destroy a monster by battle to even use its effect. However, Freezerdon’s fusion is Absolute Zero, arguably the strongest HERO Fusion ever with a pre-installed Raigeki and an effect that allows you to beat Trishula in sheer combat. Of course, its effect is devastating too. Some say “Isn’t it better to summon 2 of the same monsters?” but of course no, given it can boost Leviathan Dragon to up to 4000 ATK, enough to beat any monster you see in the tournaments (and of course these two have utterly shocking synergy that originates from Leviathan being WATER too). Not to mention, the famous Evolzar Laggia can use its effect up to three times with this card! And this also allows you to reuse powerful effects like Lavalval Chain. Like this, Number 19: Freezerdon is an astonishing card, both in terms of effect and stats, and it is without doubt one of the best Xyz Monsters up to date. When Duelist Pack Yuma arrives in the TCG, make sure to buy your playset of this card – or, regret when this takes the 2nd Tour Guide position! Bringerofcake
Addressing the GB point, sure, Volca gets Lanced and dead, and the glads tag out, but at the same time, wouldn't the Glads just crash into Freezerdon and tag out?
Welche the crab
I will buy 8 now!
evilfusion
Card would be good if it wasn't a Rank 5. That's about it. Laggia may be able to exploit the effect the best, but why would anyone devote the space for Freezerdon in a Deck that spams Rank 4s?
