So I`m writing a opinionated text about the Internet Bill

I've actually had to explain this about 30 times for the population of General. It will only really harm those who are using illegal streaming for a profitable purpose, or otherwise redistributing copyrighted material.

i.e. No, the random kid who sang Lady Gaga on Facebook will not get arrested.

Provided, of course, that we trust all corporations to use their power responsibly and not abuse it in any way.

But hey, when have large corporations ever done anything to hurt us?

But they wouldn't sue or whatever these fangled people do since they would probably lose tonloads of reputation.

According to the rules, they won't need to sue individual people. They can blacklist websites and make your ISP unable to show it to you.

As for reputation, they wouldn't care. They have your money. If you try to make an alternate means of entertainment, they can just as easily blacklist that too. You only get the information they want you to know.

Love it. My opinion on this is, if it gets passed. They might further restrictions to what you would do with google images. Hentai sites will go down within days because you are watching copyrighted material unlike what you see on other 18+ sites which are all small companies that don't give a sh** and people that post home videos. Youtube will lose a lot of money because the feds will probably take everything that is copyrighted.

So, what they're saying is... I am not allowed to make, in my spare time Character guides for a game totally non-profit and the fact that it would attract newcomers to the game hence making the company more profit? What? Yea, I'm in England so it doesn't affect me, but it's still absolute lunacy and why this even exists is beyond me.

Ah, capitalism :3

I doubt they'd go to those measures. Most of the companies that will be affected by this usually appreciate publicity from other people. i.e. game companies.

As for anime and manga stuff, no clue what would happen.

The companies affected by this are all companies. Anyone who has ever copyrighted anything ever is capable of blacklisting a website, though only the ones with enough money to care actually will.

Also, where the hell did you get the idea that game companies are somehow more liberal with letting people use their junk? They are not. Good press doesn't sell games.

I watched an entire Let's Play of Portal 2, seeing everything about the story and gameplay.
5 minutes later, I bought it.
We aren't talking about people USING stuff illegally, we're talking about them SHOWING it.
