Lunar Origins
Once my friend told me she had been raped, but that was a bold-faced lie. She had only been saying that to get attention. I had to take her aside and give her a personal talk about why she shouldn't ever lie about that subject in particular- needless to say she heeded my words, although I could've been a bit nicer about it. In all honesty, though, nobody I know of in real life has been raped, so I truly don't know what a rape victim feels. Not that I want to know, though. I can only wonder what the victim must feel- could they feel guilt, shame, and even anger along with the feelings usually associated with the subject? I don't doubt it in the slightest. Emotions are powerful things. Give one a little push and somebody (or even more than that) might just fall over the edge. But, as for the rapists? My brain cannot even begin to form thoughts of anything but anger towards these people- taking one's own sacred purity away is probably the single most harmful thing someone can do to another personally- excluding the slaying of family and death. What goes around in the heads of pigs who commit such a crime? That is also something that puzzles me. And about the dead baby jokes: Don't make them. They're extremely hurtful to people whom have lost a sibling or their mother at birth, and parents always live in fear of this very thing happening at the birth of their own kin- or, at least, they should. That's pretty much given.
Yasu
It has always been my personal policy not to joke about something unless I have lived it myself. It's extremely easy to joke about a situation when the situation itself holds no emotional value to you, anyone can do that. Rather than malice, I see it as an act of ignorance. And for what? A few moments of pleasure for the rapist at the cost of the victim's purity and psyche. I could not live with myself if I ever did something so heinous(I am being completely hypothetical, I would NEVER do this). If I ever did anything this horrible, I would probably commit suicide from the unbearable guilt. The fact that there are monsters out there who can do this and live with themselves, that is truly frightening.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Words don't kill. Physical harm does. Don't let words get to you. They can't do anything. The power to ignore is ultimate.Words don't kill, they just make people have mental breakdowns until they kill themselves. Ignore stuff all you want, words still get to people on some level. Some people more than others. I used to have breakdowns at insults because I was weak minded and didn't know how to deal with it.

CrystalCyae
I don't know anyone that has suffered such cruelty. For that, I am greatful. Though my area still isn't the safest place in the world. Nowhere is. Words can hurt. Mostly it's on a mental level. If, say, I were raped, and heard someone crack a joke about it, I'd go bash them up and wouldn't care of the consequences. And all the while I'd be balling my eyes out in memory of the dreadful occurrence, and in anger that someone would dare joke about someones loss of purity. On that note, as a female, I hope that such a dreadful thing NEVER happens to me. Afterall, I'm somewhat emotionally unstable as is. To have the weight of such a heinous crime commited against myself...:/ The fact that people actually do such a horrible thing to innocent young girls is so stupid. All they want is a few moments of pleasure?Go eat chocolate.
Travie
Using Wikipedia as a credible source is f***ing hilarious. Oh, and I didn't say it doesn't come from latin. It obviously does, because they used it on blacks. I just said that it means ignorant, which is true, and everyone is one, which is also true.Wikipedia is a pretty damn good source. If anyone tampers with the information they fix it within a day and usually when someone does it's just some idiotic wannabe troll. In addition to the fixation they ban said wannabe troll from editing articles, which reduces the amount of bullshit spewed on Wikipedia. "It obviously does, because they used it on blacks." What are you on about? They didn't use it as a slur or word for black people. It meant literally the color black.

John A. Zoidberg
Equally as horrible as male rapists. Anyone that forces sex is a terrible person. Gender doesn't affect it.
Greiga
I've only read about them in stories and stuff, but I'm pretty sure they exist. Guys are just wired to not report such things like "a girl raped me" so you never hear about them. EDIT: Same-time post. Yeah, gender is no excuse. If you think so then have fun in prison. CMRenji
So what about female rapists?I don't actually see how a woman could rape a man, at least not effectively. Wouldn't the victim have to be "in the mood" to even provide pleasure to the rapist? I doubt that someone could be in the mood if something like that was happening to them. Guest Ongaku Matsuri
Wow. I only saw a few posts on the first page and already knew there'd be a flame war somewhere in here.Nonetheless, it pisses me off to know that there are people out there that both rape and think rape is funny. For instance: A ninth-grade English class at the high school I went to. I was a junior, and we were reading the Kite Runner. We were discussing the rape scene in class one day and my teacher said we were very mature to not laugh at the word. Seriously? How can anyone think that's funny? Sure, if they're adults and sexist criminals that'd be understandable; that's why they're in jail. But freshmen in high school? Blasphemy!Women and children deserve so much better. That is my opinion. Any troll who can argue with that can go back to their caves and masturbate. ~/Coolio Prime\~
*Sigh* Do I really have to mention both to prove this?Missed my point champ. So what about female rapists?Gentler penalties and social views on the matter, because of gender roles and biases. Obvious enough. Also oftentimes forgotten, though it's rarer for some obvious reasons. I don't actually see how a woman could rape a man, at least not effectively. I doubt that someone could be in the mood if something like that was happening to them.Ignoring things like strap-ons and drugging them with viagra, people can still be turned on during rape. A women climaxing doesn't exactly mean she enjoyed it. On a primitive level sure, but the mental scarring is still there. Clair
I had one of my close friends commit suicide three days after somebody she thought she trusted forced himself on her about a year ago. In my opinion, rape is a horrible offense, period, regardless of gender or other circumstances. "Love" should never be forced upon the unwilling.
