thanonyx
I have noticed that Magic Jammer and Spell Shield Type-8 are both ver similar in that they both negate and destroy spell cards, but at a cost. Here are the 2 cards in question. Magic Jammer needs you to discard a card, any card at all, doesn't matter. But Spell Shield Type-8 needs you to discard a Spell Card unless the spell you're negating is targeting a single monster. Magic Jammer or Spell Shield Type-8. Which is better? You be the judge. evilfusion
I remember the original MFC Spell Shield was any card as the discard. I was not pleased by the errata. Jammer is slightly better, since not enough Spells played these days target, which is the only thing to make Spell Shield superior.
Toffee.
I know, but this was back when I first started playing, so I wasn't nearly as knowledgeable about those little things.
Welche the crab
Spell Shield is bad because I don't think any of the staple spells target a monster on the field except maybe BoM but that's only a part staple. Thus the other card is better.
DARKPLANT RISING
4 replies and none of this!? "BOTH ARE BAD". The only Spell-countering Counter Traps worth using are Magic Drain and Dak Bribe. Magic Drain can be negged, but either way it's a 1-for-1 (not to mention, it works with Artemis either way). Dark Bribe is unquestionably the best S/T negater.
J-Max
I always thought Solemn was the ultimate Swiss Army Knife too with the ability to Negate almost anything, especially as most of the time Life Points are not the deciding factor. Just Crouton
It's a tie. They both lose. But Jammer is better.
