Insects are so cool! They are small and look weird and they are all over the place! I want to see a pink insect because that would be so cool! I mean thats both of my favorite things! Pink and Insects! However I have more favorite things like fireworks, paint, pennies, parties, surprise parties, birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, new years parties, orphans, santa clause, Wyoming, and roadkill! :D

Discuss insects.

Arachnids don't fall under the category of insect, iirc. I'm pretty sure they're arthropods.

They're arachnids....they're arthropods but so are insects and crustaceans.

Anywho, insects are cool, had a pet praying mantis before. Though I have a phobia of caterpillars.

Yes, so arachnids are not insects. If you were to use the logic of arachnids being insects based on being the same grouping (of arthropods), you could make the argument that arachnids are also crustaceans, and that humans are canine or feline (based on the fact that they fall under the general category of mammal).

I agree. There was a praying mantis that rested on my window for about eight hours one time. I wanted to catch it, but I decided against it. Same with the caterpillars. Ever seen a Hickory-Horned Devil Caterpillar? I saw one lurching around my sidewalk and it horrified me.

I'm getting tired of flushing the stinkbugs flying around in my house =_=
Worst part is if you kill them, they release a scent that attracts more of its kind, so you can't act recklessly.
I'm not gonna go out of my way to kill an ant I see in the kitchen corner, but if an insect invades my personal bubble, it's gone.
