The searcher of the theme is just as good as its theme: If the deck's goal sucks, then the searcher sucks If the deck's goal rocks, then the searcher rocks Despite Photon Lizard being really easy to use, it just is terrible. [/quote] It is actually a -1, but that was YCM's first reaction upon seeing Photon Lizard and Twin Photon Lizard in the anime. evilfusion Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 All Photon combos are -1s, except for Thunder Dragon -> 2 more -> Photon Veil -> 3 x Something good. But that's a +0 in the end, puts 2 Thunder Dragons back in Deck, and assumes you run 3 Lights you want in hand. That's Photons' main problem, they cannot plus from anything. Veil and Lead are -1, Galaxy-Eyes doesn't kill the Xyz it noms off, Thrasher and Crusher are just searchable beatsticks. Lizard has to Tribute itself, Circle is stupid. Cerberus just prevents activations. Even Number 10, if you pulled off Kaito's Daybreaker combo (a -2 in the end if using Veiler and Lead) has a +0 effect. Lumenize just negates an attack for ATK gain. Photon Rising Stream is a conditional Honest. Honest is a +0. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shizuku Oikawa Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 Pretty much, all the Anime or Manga exclusives Photons are pretty much, not really as good, other than Sanctuary which is a +1, but it instantly goes back down to -1 when both the Tokens are Tributed or something. They need to make Set Exclusive Photons rather rather than print the Anime cards. Trident or Sabre Tiger being good examples. Or you know.. Print Photon Sublimation. Photon Twin Lizard is good with, beleive it or not, Polymerization. Summon SAber Tiger, search a tiger, poly, make twin, tribute twin get both tigers 2000 atk not bad amirite? [/quote] What rarity is it in TCG? Or did they inexplicably cut it from the Set? Okay, so Saber Tiger is a +1. Polymerization is a -2 (-Poly and 2 Sabers, +Twin Lizard). Then its effect is a +1 (minus itself, +2 from Grave). Interesting. It's a +0 in the end with 2 monsters with 2000 ATK. Could be worse, I guess.
