I was told a story a DN mod told me that included this.

Guy had this face up, then activated a second. Other guy MST'd the 2nd...chaos in rulings began.

Not sure why...it should be very simple. MST destroys the second Emptiness, and since the second Emptiness was on the Field and was sent to Grave, the first one also explodes.

Actually, no.
That's the weird part.

The mod ended up doing it on WC11.
It didn't work that way o_0

It works that way if there was nothing else in the chain. But it must be noted that Emptiness's destruction starts a new Chain.

Weird o_0

I think the question was if the opponent got to SS with his...TGU I believe. Idk what it was anymore.
Idk. Ask Asherpotter about it. He told me the story.

OH! Yeah, if it's about Trigger Effects that SS, like Mystic Tomato or TGU, that'll cause an issue, as Emptiness self-destructs on a new chain and is considered still active at the current chain.

So yea.
Potter had to go on WC11.
I forgot what the end result was.

Well, depending on the exact situation, TGU and Mystic will not Summon. The ruling on Emptiness says that if Mystic Tomato is destroyed in battle, Emptiness will self-destruct on a new chain, and Mystic cannot Summon. Took me a little bit for the reasoning to click: Emptiness stops SSing.
