Nikki Kate McKissack

Nikki - Hell if I know

Kate - Hell if I know

McKissack - Last name

Though, according to my baby name book thing, I was going to be called Annelise (however it is spelt) or Alyssa

I personally wish they had, as my name (first) is serious fuel for some lovely nicknames.

Doesn't help that no-one at my old school could pronounce my last name correctly. Even the principal, who knew my family for a bit since I was the third child, could not say it correctly.

Is it like Mic-Issac? Or Mickissack

Oh is it pronounced like the angel in the heavens or anh-hel?

either way its nice...

Angel is never pronounced Anh-hel.

If it was pronounced like that, I'm pretty sure it would have to be Anjél in pretty much every Romantic Language. Depends on where you're from though.

No I've seen a few people who names were Angel, but pronounced Anh-hel...

like Miguel Angel (Anh-hel) Torrez

Iirc it's the "g" in front of an "e" in Spanish making the "g" sound like a "j".

It's been a while so don't shoot me.

Even though I study Spanish, a week's holiday must have really scrambled my circuits.

I genuinely can't remember whether it's g or j that's pronounced as an h. Or a y.

urgh.

^That's correct.

and the "a" is not pronounced as you would normally do in English when it is at the beginning of a word. sooo....

"aanjell" I guess? not sure if I'm explaining myself here...

It's weird it's an unisex name, but all other people I know that have it are guys.

Guest Evil Tristan

Christopher MacKenzie-Skea

I doubt anyone will be able to pronounce that last part.

Hint: It's Scottish so naturally the pronunciation makes no sense.

Naturally my name fits on nothing which has a character limit, because that limit's always 10.

Christopher is 11 letters, MacKenzie-Skea is 14 characters, including the hyphen.

Skea is the family name, MacKenzie was recently moved into the surname from the middle name the family had passed over generations from an old scottish clan.

Oddly enough my mum was gonna call me Edward.

Funnily, if I wasn't born on Christmas, I was probably going to be called Jay or Jamie or James.

*insert bagpipes joke here*

Can't pronounce Skea, presumably it rhymes with 'see ya'. And MacKenzie, well, everyone can pronounce that.
