Plus at the zoo, I don't think you're even allowed to touch them... Well maybe at an petting zoo, you can touch an emu or something, but idk, I still wouldn't.
yeah well I've never gone to a petting zoo before

FindingTheEverlight
This is the best example I could find. But there are other ones where you can walk in the pen and be amungst the animals. That emu is quite beautiful though,

FindingTheEverlight
It may not look that bad, but the birds are so filthy, I wouldn't even want to touch it.
ragnarok1945
hmmm, I may consider gloves for the bird then...
FindingTheEverlight
Some nice vinyl gloves that cover your forearms as well, that should do the job. Also, I forgot to mention the pens the animals are put in, the one in the picture seems well kept, but there's this pumpkin patch by my house with a petting zoo, that place looks so filthy and unclean. But if you do go to a petting zoo, make sure it's like the one in that picture, that one seems pretty clean.
J-Max
I went to a Farm once to see Lambs being born.com The farmer there introduced me to this Hen who funnily enough walked right up to me and started rubbing her head against my leg like a Cat. I was allowed to pick the Hen up and hold it. Most touching Animal moment ever for me. She was so so relaxed in my arms. Turns out she was abandoned as a Chick so the faemee hand reared her and kept the Hen as a Pet. I'm all teary eyed from the memories now. ^^
