Sh*t My Friend Says [ Battle Fader ]

Recommended Posts

"I wouldn't have lost this turn if you hadn't told me to take Battle Fader out of my Deck!"

He ran ONE. In SCRAPS.

Along with ONE Ryko and 2 Summoner Monk and no Orthros.

My friend also argues with me to no end.

So give me the argument to crush his spirit and make him listen for once. >8D

And discuss.

It's only good in Piper.

It shouldn't be used anywhere else.

Final Countdown is a terrible deck and shouldn't be run, logically speaking then Battle fader isn't run.

Can anyone please explain how the existance of countdown.dek is bad for the game?

I could name at least 50 decks that are more disgusting than Final Countdown.

It removes all semblance of player interaction for one. I would rather play a deck like Inzektors then face freaking Countdown, just because it's so boring.

Don't get me wrong, I hate playing against stall decks too. But people on this forum keep implying it should de @0.

It's more fun then:
>Attack
>NOPE
>Attack
>NOPE

Every duel I've had against Inzektors has been either at least fun, or close. They're crazy, but honestly, they aren't THAT bad. Countdown is a badly designed card that promotes lucksack wins by stalling the entire duel, even if the opponent is clearly a better player.

Like Exodia, isn't that right Tristan? :3

In a healthy game, stall wouldn't even be viable enough to base a deck on.

And as long as you win your games against Countdown, stop complaining. I've yet to see a big tournament where more than 2 players run Countdown.

If you're unlucky enough to have someone who runs it at your locals; throw some money at him. "Not enough money to build something else" is kinda the only viable reason why anone's maindeck would be something like Countdown.

So, you kinda just said they're bad for the game, and you say you don't think they're bad for the game.

OK.

All alternate win conditions should be at 0, because they promote excessive Stall or FTKs. Both of which limit player to player interaction.

They deserve to be in anime land.

OT: I use it in Lavals because Card-Car is boss.

Lavals are the deck that actually wins by Normal Summoning Battle Fader.

If it doesn't top it's not bad for the game and you must be butthurt that you lost to it at locals so shut up because it's not bad for the game no matter how bad it is for the game

Countdown and such should be @0. Just because it doesn't top doesn't mean it's good design, or are FuFu, REDRU- wait, not anymore, Rekind- owait, not anymore... Clearly, if it doesn't top, good design.

OT: Good design, but not good enough.

The reason you should not run this is that while it might be a perfectly fine card, there are almost always better options than it. Space is a precious thing in a deck, and you shouldn't waste it on things that that might save you a couple times, but are largely unnecessary and don't contribute to the deck's win condition.
