Weird things in high school that are normal

Yes I know the topic is contradictory but. anyway, this is my last year of high school and my classmates have begun to slowly change as well as the traits in the cliques. Friends have become enemies and enemies have become friends. Everyone in my year is talking about their future and saying their last good-byes. The lower class men are talking about their fear of growing up is becoming more and more imminent and our counselor's office has become flooded with crying girls and angry boys. Even the funny boys have changed. They went from silly antics like filling condoms with water and starting water condom fights to strafing around with jeans down to their knees like Zoidberg. I know this is something that comes in time but it's just weird to me. Anyway, discuss weird things going on in your school or how you've changed throughout your years of school.

Since my highschool was relatively normal I'll just talk about my college.

So my college is more known for it's scholarly achievements than it's athletic achievements. One of our biggest clubs is actually the Chess team. The best part? When they go to state they have their own pep rally. And as a member of the pep band I get to play at them :D

So,
Apparently,
Everyone in high school are sex crazed, drug addicted, depressed rebels that come to school everyday complaining about something?

Milk and pee fights.

I really don't want to remember anything about my high school years, so can we change the subject?

Pretty much.

I went to a small town school. Basically it was drinking, sex, mudding, and occasionally drugs with tobacco being the most prominent and weed and such following closely behind. *shrugs* I just stuck with my friends at school and secluded myself to my room after school.

The best part is when they mixed it together it became "pilk".

OT: I used to have a whole bunch of friends during my freshman year that would get into those stupid cliques because they wanted to be popular, and I was like "Do whatever the heck you want, I'm not hurting my self-esteem here". Sophomore year came, was transferred to a better, larger, more academically focused High School, so, as per usual, there were more fights, lost weaves, lost earrings, stolen MP3 players, and in general more stupidity than ever before. Stayed in all Honors classes like the good little person that I am. Junior year rolls around and my friend asks me if I wanted to hang out for a smoke and offered me a pack of cigarettes. So I took them and threw them into the trash. I guess asking people around if they randomly want to smoke was normal, but I wasn't going to get busted for truancy. Finally, Senior year.....hmm....well, there was the one suicide...

But yeah, nothing special happened during my school years, and sometimes, I just wish I'd like to forget it. I guess everything is normal in a sense.

One of the most extreme things I did in high school was climb up 2 walls side by side with just my back and legs (With some help from my arms). This was in the cafeteria too where the ceiling was a good 20-30 feet high and I made it to the top and touched the ceiling, Then I started going down and slipped falling the rest of the way. B) Goes with out saying that I didn't break anything.

I'll also say I was more or less exactly the same all the way through my high school years.

Though this next bit didn't happen in high school, it's still pretty epic. In elementary I loved swinging on swing s and one time I swung super high, crossed my legs a landed in a sitting position (Legs crossed). I got a bloody nose from that, dont ask me how that works cause i don't know.

I changed a lot during high school.
Freshman year was a little awkward for me because I had a rough middle school experience because I was so weird. I cringe when I think back on my middle school self, and even in freshman year I was determined to be normal.
It...kindasortanotreally worked, but I lived. I had a totally different clique in freshman year than I have for the last 3 years though.

I've been in the same group of friends which has slowly expanded bit by bit each year, and it's been pretty fun. The first time we all hung out outside of school was one of the best nights I could remember (night of our school semi too).

But the biggest change is I learned a lot. Mainly on fixing my social awkwardness. My elementary school was small and sheltered, which is why middle school sucked for me. During high school, I learned what was normal and what wasn't normal and learned to blend in as well as learn what other kids talked about.
I also learned I apparently have a big head and the common sense of a 5 year-old >>
Finally, I learned I have a talent for public speaking.

If there's anything I want to do before I leave school...

Anyway, the people at my school are insane and I wish they'd shut up and go about their buisness and leave me alone. Anyway, Classes are boring and the highlight of the day is we have a card game club :3

My High School currently includes:

-Slackers who procrastinate at the last second and probably skip class.
-People who pridefully express their love in the middle of the hallways.
-Highly expressive people about their race, as well as stereotypical jokes.
-Places to eat in the school during the lunch is survival of the fittest.
-People with high senses of fashion and style/art.
-Bratty/Immature freshmen and upperclassmen that also act like freshmen.
-Socially Awkward and Introverted People, as well as those who do weird behaviors.
-Jocks everywhere showing off.
-Nerds/Geeks of all variations whose social health varies.
-High attitude people when the slightest disturbance with others pisses them off.
-People who playfight like it's f****g Street Fighter.
-Glorifying drugs and alcohol, or already taking them.
-Class clowns that don't take things seriously.
-Sugar-High Social people; likely to be those with high grades.
-Profanity is a common language no one cares to say.
-There's no such thing as a trash can or recycling bin.

Well that's everything about all awkward things in high school.

At the beginning of high school, I was incredibly antisocial, unwilling to attempt to make new friends, etc.
Now, three years in, while I'm not exactly a "social butterfly," I have the ability to talk to people, so that's a significant change. Also, like most teenagers, friends have come and gone, I've changed things about myself, tried to change things about others, etc. The average high school experience, if you will.
There are too many preps at my school, though. Wayyyy too f***ing many.
Also, nobody has a good sense of humor. Everyone gets their laughs from either telling stupid, immature, and unfunny jokes, making others feel bad, etc. It's quite frankly annoying. I guess the weirdest thing that people do in my high school that's considered normal here is something on the sports team. Players (especially in football) like to pee in each others cleats while the person whose cleats those is getting dressed and not looking. That's quite frankly one of the many reasons I don't do high school sports.
Regardless, the next three years in this school should prove interesting. I'm somewhat excited to see what happens, and somewhat horrified.

This is one of my biggest peeves, and worst part is my friends are the perfect example. I get a crack about my common sense or big head at least once a day. Of course they're all just joking around, but it gets old after hearing it all the time.
And of course insulting people isn't exactly a part of my nature, so I'm also known for having bad "comebacks".

My comebacks are usually non-existent

I'm, for the most part, stoic to my surroundings

Oh yeah

My current grade consists of three types of people:

- Highly intelligent people who take AP level courses over the summer for the fun of it

- People who are social networking (and sometimes actual) whores

- People with a GPA below .5

And on the point about public speaking, I'm not very good at set up speeches but my improvised ones seem to be spot on
