Dragirls! Bringing the Sexy Back to the Dragons!

Recommended Posts

Yep, the name says it all. These lovelies are the Dragirl Monsters, their name an obvious pun of the term Dragon with the term Girl, and their function? Well, beyond fan service, these beauties are here with a message: "Let's bring out the Big Guns!" and that is exactly what she said! These lovely lizards/ladies serve to please, and they do so by aiding the Summoning of their Dragonic Counterparts!

Yes, I am serious, this is a genuine set I am making. It's also the first set in which I'm using Yugico on it's tod and saying sod it to YCM's Card Maker, because it is slightly outdated, but we're waiting on YCMaker, so...whatev's.

So, without further ado, let's say hello to the Dragirls!

Shining is really bad, simply because of the flavor context you tried to give her and a few other factors. Lv. 5 does nothing good for it and Dragon isn't a great type for something to copy a Fusion material. I understand the intent of the card, but... It's just not that good. Needs a more proactive effect.

Malefic BEWD, however, is amazing design, if you remove the restriction. It's a +1 if SSd with Reborn, but it searches Fields, so the restriction just makes it worse, tbh. Get rid of it and this is absolutely perfect.

Mmmm... furries... or would it be scalies?
That, as Smear has clearly done, deserves it's rep! ^_^

1 - I see. I'm glad you saw what I was going for though; it needs a more proactive effect, hmm? I'll have to try cook something up then, which I hope you'll prefer ^_^.

2 - I see. Amazing design, I'm flattered! I'll get rid of the restriction come the next update.

Overall - Thank you very much for the insightful critique Black, I hope, when others come to roost, you'll have another crack at it!

What's Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragirls number? I gotta try something there xD

I think I might go with Black Rose's idea and proxy a couple too. With permission of course. Oh, might I also suggest making one for Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon? If for no other reason than because it'd be amazingly hot xD

Those cards makes me want to put some cards from the OCG into YVD and make a deck using them, but due to that Clause, I feel forced to review the cards themselves as well

The Malefics:

Malefic Stardust Dragirl seems pretty much outclassed by most things, even Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragirl Outclasses her there, but Malefic Stardust Dragirl would likely be used for some Geartown Dragon Hybrid Deck, Malefic Blue-Eyes, on the other hand, would allow Chaos Dragons to Tech other Malefics, Ironically, Malefic Stardust Dragon being the best choice of teching, but they both prevent you from summoning Malefics, since they got Malefic in their name.

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragirl:

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragirl would work in it's own deck, Allowing it to become Material for Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon when Special Summoned from the Graveyard, Assuming you have Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon in your Extra Deck.

Dragirls of the Ice Barrier:

Brionac is a good card, although "Once per turn" does kill it quite a bit. Gungnir is underpowered, in fact, It's Outclassed by Trishula. Brionac would be used in the Main Dragirls Deck as a Tech, Gungnir would not be run, and Trishula, Like Brionac, Will be teched

Nurse RED M.D. and Five-Headed Dragirl:

Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragirl is balanced, but people would definitely run it at 3 to make a rather hilarious Xyz Engine. Five-Headed Dragirl on the other hand is a Walking Foolish Burial/Dragon Recovery that is somewhat Overpowered on paper, but I need to test this at 1 and see how it does

Signer Dragirls:

Power Tool Dragirl is Completely Outclassed by [acronym='Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragirl']Nurse RED[/acronym], Black Rose Dragirl could be run in it's own deck (Dragonvine sounds Sexy as heck) along with some other Dragirls and REDRUM. Ancient Fairy Dragirl could be teched in some Decks as a hilarious Synchro/Xyz Engine. Red Dragirl Archfiend and Stardust Dragirl are actually good (Although the No Draw Drawback was not needed, perhaps destroyed at the End Phase?)

Dragirls overall:

The Dragirls are a rather pleasing Addition to this site, While most are balanced, some are quite Underpowered (Gungnir and Power Tool), A Few are are quite Sexy in the Meta (Stardust specifically), One can be changed a slight bit (Red Dragirl Archfiend) and One seems overpowered (Five-Headed). The Sexy Art also gives bonus points as well, This would make some lovely Decks, provided that you'd let me make some XD

I actually did not see that, but you're right, their own name prevents their Summoning. Huh...I would change it, but it'd somewhat remove their...well, their identity if you get what I mean. Although, I could name them "Sin" instead. I'll be sure to fix them.

I'm glad you saw it's directed to the Shining Dragon. I think it'd be used much more if it was easier to Summon, hence the inspiration of this girl.

Dragirls of the Ice Barrier:

I'd love you to use them, however I do recommend you wait for the set to be finished so that any edits won't eff up your game.

Updated with the Artwork (BRD); next update is Flandre's fixes.

Wow. My screen freaking blew up for Black Rose Dragirl. I dont really think I need to comment on teh art.

Anyway. The Signer Dragirls are pretty darn cool, but Scarlet already said that PTD was UPed. I like BRD, could be run in its own deck.

Flandre said it all :(

Ah well. But I really like the REDMD one and teh Stardust one.

For Five-Headed Dragirl, Let me Test her out with the other Dragirls before you fix her effect... I'm pretty adaptable with edits...

I really hope that More cards come, The deck is seeming to come out interesting in my head (Or should I say Decks, I already got 4 decks in my head already from those cards)

EDIT: Deck 1 Complete (Dragirl Spam.dek), I found that I was using Five-Headed Dragirl too little to warrant a Change in her effect, but it was very useful in refilling Dragon Ravine, I did the Malefic to Sin Change for the Malefic Dragirls already though

EDIT 2: Deck 2 Complete (Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon Spam.Dek), Five-Headed Dragirl was more often used, but not often enough, to be honest, This was more broke than the above deck
