Not-so-Radiant Arin
Lore: Banish 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard: Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field. Having Heavy Storm in today's Meta provides players with an exceptional amount of skill as to be sure not to set 5 cards and then declare the end of their turn, unless you are running Chain Burn. Supernova is a Heavy Storm with a cost basically, so that you have to give up a resource from your Graveyard instead of just playing Heavy Storm and wiping the entire field clean with hardly little effort. Also, Storm is god-awful. CnC. Advanced Clause Settings. Yadayada... Image Credit goes to JazinKay.
seattleite
Still don't think it's balanced. Now all you have to do is Dark Hole / Reborn / 1for1 / E-Teleport / whatever and THEN sweep the field. A spell card in the grave just sits there anyway, I don't know of any majorly used cards where it's an asset. You can correct me if there is. This would probably be limited like Storm. I would rate image but i can't see it. Stupid computer.
FF Fan
How is storm awful when it kills multiple spells and traps which can trigger some card effects like Starlight Road? I also don't see the point of banishing a Spell from the grave. Most people don't run magical excavation stone or something similar so that Spell card won't be missed. I can't see the image either. Blake
You have to save it to comp then re-upload it to Tinypic or whatever. Anyways, this is still pretty damn broken. Up it to two or three Spells banished and then it's less likely to be activated. Duality and MST are the most likely candidates to be banished, after all. Even then I'm still a bit iffy on balance, but it's at least a little bit better that way. I'm scared that 2 isn't enough but 3 is too much. Not-so-Radiant Arin
Le fixed. I agree that setting up this card for its use is a bit overpowered. It was originally designed for DP, but I decided to bring it on here to see what everyone thinks. I kind of half expected this type of reaction. Miror B
How is storm awful when it kills multiple spells and traps which can trigger some card effects like Starlight Road?
Storm is bad for the game because it allows people to plus for an activation, but is a necessary evil because it keeps us away from "hurr durr set summon monster go" formats. Thoughts on the card: It's pretty much Heavy Storm. Spells in the Graveyard are generally used up and aren't gonna be recycled again. I'd enjoy playing Duality, then banishing it to use this. That said, I honestly don't know how you can ever balance Heavy. The idea itself is pretty bad design, dispite being a necessary evil. Storm was able to take heavy and weaken it, but it ended up pretty terrible. This is just giving it a cost, not trying to weaken it. I honestly think a card like storm that could select itself and didn't have to kill everything you had would be the epiphany of Heavy. It still would be ranging on pretty bad since the appeal of Heavy is the plusses you could get off of it, but with the plusses being both the problem AND the appeal you can see what the issue here is.
