The card to end all Exodia decks >:D

Ever get annoyed as all hell at those Exodia decks that just keep playing cards like reckless greed, one day of peace, into the void, upstart goblin, and many, many more deck thinners? Boy, do I have the solution for you!

But no really, this entire card is based off of people who abuse all of the card drawing ... Cards in order to thin out their deck to get the pieces of Exodia. Just as reliable as hand or card destruction while simultaneously almost exclusively targeting people who abuse draw power cards.

I would really like some opinions on how effective this card would be up against an opponent who used an Exodia deck. I think it would make a fantastic side deck card for that unexpected Exodia deck you might run across. However, since it's so situational, and you can only have three, I'm thinking of bumping up the required cards that are activated which allow you to draw to three in exchange for being allowed to activate the card from anywhere (Deck, grave, hand, etc.) Tell me what you think. Anyways, here's the card.

Lore: Only activate this card if you opponent has activated 2 or more effects which cause either player to draw 1 or more cards this turn. You can pay 1000 Life Points to activate this card from your hand, or you can pay half of your Life Points to activate this card from your Deck during either player's turn. Your opponent can not draw additional cards outside of their Draw Phase for as long as this card remains face-up on the field.

Edits to the card so far:
-I have made it a continuous trap card to make it work almost exclusively against Exodia, since most, if not all decks based off of Exodia are almost, if not; entirely made up of draw power and stall power, rather than abilities to destroy cards.
-I have added Life Point costs to be able to activate this card from several areas, making it more easy to bring out when needed. However, they can both be hefty, and basically suicide against almost any deck capable of destroying trap cards to activate them these ways.

Why didn't you make a card:
"Your opponent cannot win by using the effec tof "Exodia The Forbbiden One""
Anyway seems cool but continous and make while its face-up, would be more balanced xD
Because that's kind of superfluous/boring. Besides, it should have some application outside of Exodia, say decks heavily revolving around draw power. At the same time, your opponent still has to have SOME kind of chance to win, they just won't be able to aid it with tons of draw power cards they've got stored away in that deck. They'll be forced to revert on their much slower process of searching via gold sarc, sangan, and attempting to stall for time. This card merely improves player/player interaction to some degree. Reason being, that instead of focusing on what they have, and what they need to get, they have to focus on how they can keep YOU from mopping the floor with your deck, due to making likely more than 30% of their's obsolete.

P.S. There's absolutely no need to make it continuous for balance. Any deck that this card would be viable against won't have any cards that are for destroying other cards. Any deck with enough draw power to invoke 2 or more extra draws per turn is probably focusing on drawing and stalling almost exclusively.

See what I'm getting at?

The problem is, there are many more decks that would need to draw cards per turn. And activating this card against such a deck is basically saying "I win." It is like:
Player 1: "Activate Dark World Dealings. Discard Broww."
Player 2: No, I activate this. Yay, I win.

It basically kills DarkWorld as well.

SO... You ---SHOULD--- make it continuous. Saying "this deck works against Exodia, and Exodia is a deck that plays no destruction. Thus, making it continuous does nothing." The only problem is, you (should) want it to -only- work against Exodia. Making it a continuous would make it work that way. Making it a card like this that literally cannot be stopped is just a little bit crazy.

In fact, if you make it continuous, you could even make it work from hand if you like, especially if it cost a set amount of Life Points to use (oh look, another thing that other decks can gain advantage from but not Exodia!). It would be like a Droll & Lock Bird, except where it actually works. It would stop other stupid decks like FTKs as well if it works from the hand.

Absolutely love the feedback. I'll make the changes, they're all really good suggestions. Let's just hope the text doesn't end up turning super duper f***ing small. :D

The requirement of 2+ drawing effects sounds oddly specific. It'd certainly be a blow to the face against Exodia Decks (because I don't really know about other Decks that are heavy on drawing), but it's kind of useless against most other Decks.

In my opinion, Decks that are not heavily focused on drawing, should still be able to have a chance, even if this was able to activate upon the first drawing effect. As for heavy drawing Decks, it's more than enough that you left them draw that first time. A Deck so plain desserves to loose if it can be disrupted by a single card. Not to mention that Guardian of the Sanctuary sort of does this card's job (except he's not used anymore... god I still remember when Guardian of the Sanctuary was limited in the list). Soooo.. is there a particular point keeping it at "2+ drawing" effects?

Let's see... most Decks preffer to "add" or "search" than to "draw" as of lately. I cannot really see a Deck that would particularly mind this card.
and I think it's ok without being continuous. The meta is so heavy on Spell/Trap hate, that making it continuous might aswell just make it an effect-less bait.
Even without thinking of the meta, the most it can do is ruin Reckless Greeds, Solar Recharges, Dark World Dealings, and provide bad matchups against Chain Burn, Exodia, and Spell Counter OTK Decks.

It's an ok card, though it's meant to be sided against casual Decks, and I rarely see people use Side Decks in casual Duels.
It's a solid idea, though.

Well... You DID read the title of the thread, right? The ENTIRE idea and use of this card is to destroy Exodia decks, and Exodia decks ALONE, seeing they are still surprisingly popular, as inconsistent and volatile as they are. The +2 effect is to prevent it from being used against other decks, as almost every deck in today's meta has some form of drawing power/draw card, even if they can mainly search, such as lightsworn, blackwings, decks with many level 8 cards, etc.

i like this card its well balanced and definitely does what the thread title says... 9/10
Thanks for the feedback, but if there's nothing wrong with it, it's well balanced, and does exactly what it's intended to do why a 9/10? o__O;

They are not THAT popular. I haven't seen an Exodia Deck in my region throughout all this format, and I think I only saw 1 during last format.

Didn't really see you were implying that this was purposely meant to be useless against all the Deck in the game that are not Exodia... fair enough, then.

It's basically just a counter troll against Exodia's or other draw power oriented decks. That's all. The focus is still mainly Exodia, haha. That was really the whole idea behind the card. It's not exactly made to be completely practical, just a fun side card if you're anticipating facing an Exodia user.

Ok, I would simplify it a bit. Why not make it just cost half your Life Points from hand or deck? Also, "during either player's turn" is unneeded because it is a trap.

See? Lot easier to read now.

It's a trap card version of Protector of the Sanctuary. That being said I like it. The life points being paid allow this card to be used at anytime which tips on the line of being OP'ed. I don't think there should be a card that is 100% accessible when you need it. All cards at the probability of not being the hand or on the field when we need them lol but this card doesn't matter where it is going to happen if the conditions are met. But nevertheless it is a good card.
