Zowayix
"When you have only 1 "Right Leg of the Forbidden One", 1 "Left Leg of the Forbidden One", 1 "Right Arm of the Forbidden One", 1 "Left Arm of the Forbidden One", and this card in your hand, you win the Duel." I'm thinking this would discourage most Exodia FTKs, because if you have ~30 cards in your hand, it would be very hard to get rid of all 25 non-Exodia cards unless you end your turn and discard to the hand size limit of 6. This would at least give the opponent a turn to counter it (don't most decks run at least some type of hand destruction now?) before the Exodia user could get rid of the sixth card. What do you guys think?
Canadian
No, this is a bad idea and does not work like you think. Exodia is still stupid.
Zowayix
Can you give an example of how it wouldn't work?
Partangle the Candle Jangler
It wouldn't work because it would make Exodia 0% usable.
Canadian
Situations: a) Not using mass drawing, you set whatever extra cards which aren't exodia and win anyways. Using mass drawing, you end your turn with 6 cards in hand. Your opponent only has 1 turn to deal 8000 damage, and thats not going to happen (especially if that last card is something like swift scarecrow). But it really doesn't matter.. Toffee.
Exodia's Head-thingy -DARK- Lvl12 [Spellcaster/Effect] While this card is in your hand you hand revealed. During the End Phase of a turn in which you have this card + the other 4 Limbs in your hand, and no non-Exodia monsters in your hand, side of the field, Graveyard, and/or Banished pile, you Win the duel. You must have 2000 or less Lifepoints to activate and resolve this effect 1600ATK / 1600DEF ??????????????????? *Clearly slapped it together in a whole 5 seconds*
Zowayix
@Canadian: (a) is probably how Konami envisioned the card to be used, so it works. (b) isn't quite accurate - the opponent's doesn't have to OTK, only remove an Exodia piece from the opponent's hand using Card Destruction or Hand Destruction or whatever. @Armadilloz: Uh...that last card would require a Main Deck containing only the 5 Exodia pieces as monsters, with 35 Spells/Traps. Virtually unplayable.

And to this change by OP, no. Dave already has stated the reasons saying that it would be a pointless change. It would either be set until you have the pieces in your hand OR end phase discard all but 5 of the pieces and 1 random card (Most likely Fader or Scarecrow) and then it would become pointless. Azuh
It should be like the anikme, when you have the Head in your hand and the other 4 pieces, you must summon them to win

Zowayix
I forgot about cards that could be discarded from the hand willingly during the opponent's turn. >_< But mentioning the anime gave me another idea: I really wouldn't know how well the below effect would work, but here goes: Exodia the Forbidden One "If you add this card to your hand while you also have [the other four limbs] in your hand, you win the Duel." This forces the player to get the Head of Exodia last, as they will not win if they get some other part last. I'm envisioning this change making Exodia significantly less playable but not useless. The first method I can think of is to discard the Head with Foolish Burial or Hand Destruction or whatever, gather the four limbs, then use Monster Reincarnation. DARKPLANT RISING
How about simply: "When other 4 parts are in your hand: SS this card. If SS-ed by this eff, when this monster battles another monster, destroy it immidiatly. When this card destroys a monster by its eff and/or inflicts battle dmg: Win". Zowayix
That kind of wrecks the point of Exodia being an automatic win, as the above effect could be easily stopped by Solemn Judgment, Torrential Tribute, Mirror Force, etc. etc. If you added a "this card is unaffected by all card effects" statement, then that kind of makes the Summon and battle redundant, and it might as well just be an automatic win upon getting it into your hand.
