I find it very annoying that super rich kids at my regionals typically win using this card to bring out Zenmaines+use sangan's eff for another tour. How are Tengu semi-limited but this thing isn't even limited? There aren't that many very competitive people at my city except for a few so this really bugs me. Do you guys agree it's broken? Discuss.

And then Konami hits Tour Guide and people will complain that hitting it was a terrible idea with an excuse that makes Tour Guide balanced like how balanced Plants were when Bulb, Spore and Trish were still around and then create another petition against Konami that the playerbase feels treaten as cashcows, even though we constantly throw money against the card from the very beginning of the game and continue to keep throwing their money at the card game anyway, regardless of Konami's actions.

Yep.

@Hyperion: Cept they were angry about Plants because it was a very very skillful deck that got hit. TGU and decks that focus around it are not.

Anyway, Falcon, dude, if you're just figuring out NOW that TGU is broken as f*ck, then you're WAY too far behind. Anyway, Tengu was banned first because Konami was slow and decided to ban a card that was more prevalent first. I'm feeling that they'll actually hit TGU this next format. Also, Extra Pack is coming that format so my guess is they'll emergency ban it if nothing else.

And Konami should care if Plants takes skill why? Card games for them is a business and its obviously that people weren't willing to invest into the game anymore because a large part of the playerbase kept getting stuck using Plants or Agents (OCG), so they had to take drastic measures just to make more money, which I can fully understand, because if people suddenly stopped buying my products because they liked 1 of my older products more, I have to think of a diffirent approach of either selling my products or create a product that forces the older product to get outclassed. By hitting plants, they make it secure that people are willing to actually buy their new products, like with the rotation systems with Magic the Gathering and Pokemon. If banlist/rotation systems didnt existed, they were forced to constantly make new power creep cards, so people are willing to buy new packs.

So which sounds better from a business standpoint? A system that bans older skillful cards so it forces the players to buy their product and update their decks or even make new decks, or a card game that suffers a power creep every 3 months to the point where it just becomes unplayable and people dont bother with it anymore?

Pick your poison.

[/quote]My point wasn't that Konami wasn't going to do anything. My point was arguing how you said people would be angry that TGU got hit when in fact, they really would not.
