So turns out there was a YCS this weekend that no one payed attention to.

Championship Series did, in fact, happen in Chicago, Illinois. It had only been rumored around the net up until this past week or so, but as it turns out, those rumors are, indeed, true.[/background][/size][/font][/color]

I don't believe it!" exclaimed one unsuspecting woman coming back from the Chicago area with her two teenage sons who had, unknowingly, gotten caught up in the mess. "I didn't even know Chicago existed! Sure, we’d been driving through some forests way back, but I didn’t realize we were in a place like Chicago, my goodness!”[/background][/size][/font][/color]

As if to add insult to injury, more recent reports even state that a Dino Rabbit deck managed to come out of the ruckus and take the event.[/background][/size][/font][/color]

Our very own, in house physician, Dr. Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon explained that, “the events have certainly taken their toll on the populace, even I have seen some of my relatives and close friends come through the hospital doors.”[/background][/size][/font][/color]

HEROs, Dragons, Inzektors, Gravekeepers, even other Dino Rabbit players were carted in one by one. The alarm signals of what one could only describe as ‘ambulenceroids’ were blaring non-stop.[/background][/size][/font][/color]

[color=#5A5A5A][font=tahoma, helvetica, arial, sans-serif][size=3][background=rgb(251, 253, 254)]Sources indicate that sign-up for this even occurred this past Friday, the 27th and the YCS itself may have occurred sometime between 2 A.M. on Saturday and 10 P.M. Sunday, but confirmation on those times has still not been made.[/background][/size][/font][/color]

The next, a full-blown YCS had started. I did not even see it coming! And I am GRAPHA, DRAGON LORD OF DARK WORLD!”[/background][/size][/font][/color]

The unfortunate few that did were forced, some against their will, to compete in 11 rounds of swiss before any of them were allowed to leave.[/background][/size][/font][/color]

I didn't get why people thought Rabbit would suddenly drop off the face of the Earth. Although I did expect Inzektors to win. :s

So, how many weeks before Konami post decklists?

Dino Rabbit simply saw less play and less of them topped. If you'll recall, there were a ridiculous amount of them that used to top, taking up around half of the top 32, this time they only had a fourth, which was the same as Inzektors and Dragons, the two decks that basically lose to Macro Cosmos.

Dragons also survive on giant-ass beatsticks and monster effect revival, so it makes it hard for other decks to keep taking them out over and over and over again. Inzektors can do it well enough, but they essentially need Dragonfly every turn for over 3 turns, something they don't really manage.

I find the most interesting part about this event was that Wind-Ups and Dark World were no where to be seen. It was quite fascinating. In fact, by the looks of it, one could almost say that Wind-Ups have been replaced by Chaos Dragons.

Wind-Ups have probably dropped to tier 2 at this point. HEROes are effectively Antimeta. Dark Worlds are sided against the same ways as Inzectors, thus both can be weakened. Hieratics and Chaos Dragons are better than a lot of people (stares are certain YCM members) think. I expected rabbits to die, but instead they simply weeded out the weaker ones such that only the most fit amongst them survived. And the deck is cheaper because of LOLPANICITSUCKSNOWRAGE11111111ONE

Call it Inzector Meganeura, give it 2050 ATK points and 50 DEF, and of course [i]Light[/i], for more Chaos-fodder.

Why? He had some weird choices (maining 2 MST and 2 Super Poly and siding Wildheart) but I see no reason to flip out. Props to the guy for topping with the coolest deck ever.
