An Anti-Rabbit Card *Sigh*

Recommended Posts

This isn't very anti-Rabbit.
EDIT: Since I got warned for "light-spamming" in this thread for not posting a whole load of stuff.....I find Rabbit annoying to play against and this primarily counters it, while doing the same to TGU and others. It has 1850 ATK to be able to stay alive and it's Dark because Dark. Also can prevent itself being destroyed for the same reason.

Monsters cannot be Special Summoned from the deck. If this card would be destroyed, you can discard one card from your hand instead.

The card is pretty good, since it can protect itself from, let's say Hornet to stop Dragonfly to get Centipede etc. etc, as well it can somewhat stop your opponent form getting Laggia or Dollka out. So yeah, there's nothing really wrong with this card, given how, in my opinion, this would be a pretty good tech in some Decks, maybe Side worthy.

This card actually seemed more anti-Gladiators than Rabbit, considering Laquari can't run it over, Mermillo can't kill it, etc. Considering the fact that it also shuts down Inzektors and Rabbit, I'd say it's a very nice card. The typing irks me a bit though. Spellcaster? Looks more like a Fiend to me, but whatever. Stopping Tour Guide is also a very good thing, and 1850 is a really nice figure. Yeah, it's a good card. Would I side it? In decks that have bad matchups against afformentioned decks, anywhere else? Nah.

I mostly like this card. It pretty must shuts down Wind-Ups, Inzektors, Rabbit, Etc. The thing I don't like is how it can be easy discard food for DW's, while keeping itself safe in the process. I think that produces too many pluses.

That's the one thing I was unsure of, but nobody else seemed to care. I'm not sure how else to do it though.

Then I guess it stays. Probably because it's a spellcaster type monster, and has no real place place in a deck that goes with Darkworlds. I mean It's no Gates of Darkworld target, and Darkworld's are all about producing quick discards on their own turn, releasing devestating effects, aggressive play, swarming, etc. This card plays "the waiting game", and darkworlds don't do that. So it's more of a side card if anything, but I would main it myself; maybe because I like to surprise my opponent :P lol

In general good effect definitely one of my favs from the Six Samurai but ugh I always hated the XX50 atk or def points. Never really understood why the creators did that.

That 50 ATK/DEF points is the difference bewteen this card being too strong, or too weak. add 50 more ATK, and you have a 1900 beater that shuts down major decks and can match Thunder-Kings, Sabersaurus (since this is about rabbit), etc; adding 50 ATK would make this card worse, in terms of balance. In retrospect, if it the monsters base ATK was, lets say 1900, then adding 50 would mean it can runover the latter mentioned monsters, without having to sacrifice a card. Those 50 points really make a difference, in terms of balance and good card design.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I still dislike the extra 50 points, but at least I can see it has a purpose. Thanks man.

So I made a good card? inb4condescendingwonka

Seriously though, is there anything at all to change or is it good as is?

Can you try to use this logic to explain the random stats on Castle of Dark Illusions? It's got the weirdest stats I've ever seen....

Stupid miniature picture.....it's 920/1930 for no apparent reason.

Lol you have a poitn there. As far as I;m concered, back before Yu-gi-oh got as competitive as it was today, I believe this card was first featured in the Panic vs Yugi duel? idk, i haven't seen that show in a good 7 years or so. . . . anyway panic used this card in combination with all these other things to constantly power up the DEF of cards, and his card all featured monsters with odd ATK/DEF points(1920/1870, etc.). As far as I'm concerned, this was just a plot device thing for the show, or some crappy idea to generate insterest in monsters with uneven ATK/DEF points as so, and holds no real place in card design today. Then again, I guess Konami will always release cards that are a little different just because -_-
