Personally, I don't blame him.

Stupid card, fuels OTKs, won't be banned, should be banned, ridiculously unfun for your opponents /thread

Fun story:

I was testing some ridiculous Power Tool deck on DN(it was amusingly horribly), and my Duel note was "Testing, English"

...

The guy I played was exodia.

I said "I said 'Testing', not 'Sit here while you take about 9001 miniutes out of my time to get a set of cards.'"

I admitted defeat and left promptly.

These decks are no fun to play, and do deserve banage.

oh boy

if this is another dn sucks thread im leaving

Equalizer + Ruins is better because you don't have to hang onto 4 dead cards trying to draw the game winner.

"Should be banned because it reduces player interaction"

- Rescue Rabbit

- Inzektor Hornet

- Wind-Up Hunter

OT: People actually scoop against Exodia? I've encountered them countless on DN and only lost against 1 of them because it was unexpected since I thought he was runnnig Piper Chaos and I was just play testing a casual deck. And yes, each 1 of them was only 1 duel long and 0 matches.

And why is YCM suddenly so obsessed with Player Interaction all of the sudden? First the whole ATK-doesn't-matter period, the whole card-advantage-is-everything-even-if-the-cards-sucks period, and now this. Should Swords of Revealing Light and Messenger of Peace also be banned because it also reduces Player Interaction, but stuff like Wind-Up Hunter and Inzektor Hornet + Dragonfly/Centipede dont fall in those category because it somehow encourages player interaction, even if the player still basicly plays sollitaire all by himself by also using their opponent's cards if their opponent didnt drew a counter against it?

oh ok then

While I can only really speak for myself on this one, I do believe that most of YCM have had the player-interaction mentality for a very long time. It IS the founding point of yugioh and one of the most major selling points of the game. Swords of Revealing Light and Messenger of Peace are directly counter-able with common-place cards, so they aren't an issue. Things such as Exodia, however, require either very, very narrow cards (i.e. Droll & Lock Bird) or simply have no counter. They're also only ever played out in one turn. Unsurprisingly Inzektors and Wind-Ups don't generally win in one turn, and even when they can those moves are at least stoppable, albeit with only a few cards (provided they went first, but the odds of them going first and opening the combo (for Inzektors) or loop (for Wind-Ups) is so narrow that it isn't a major problem. In fact, the current metagame (barring Chaos Dragons to an extent) promoted player interaction, especially Dino Rabbit, funny as it sounds. Players are in a constant mind-game, including the Dino Rabbit player, as to what to negate, and what to make, and one wrong move can lose the player advantage. Even trying to compare the metagame as it is to such a solitaire deck makes your intelligence of the current game questionable.

Do i really need to go "ITT: YCM is fine with rescue rabbit,wind-up hunter and inzektor hornet"?

There's also the whole deal of exodia being either trash or terror, making it completely and absolutely useless when it isnt broken, but wind ups, inzektors and dino rabbit can at least go from "competitive but should not be" to just "Competitive",so they're at least more salvageable than exodia.

Rescue Rabbit, Hunter and Hornet aren't "fine", but they reason to be banned/limited have nothing to do with player interaction.

The main thing about Exodia and other decks like this is they're all "rock-paper-scissor" decks (see Hunter-centric WindUps). You go first, you'll win unless you somehow f*** up your draw combos or something. If not, you'll probably lose more than you win.

Besides, all this is just a game. It's not like I care if it gets banned or anything. And also, this whole "player interaction" is a bunch of bull anyways. Seriously, who came up with that?

Someone that enjoys the concept of a two-player card game.
