Omg.... Vortex... YCM AWARDS!

 

Anyways... since its a new page... the council members need to read this

 

obviously' date=' OldMaster... we somehow need a new appraoch to things... thats why i reckon we should also increase the days of the awards to 9 instead of 10 (as stated above).

 

I was hoping like something like

 

April 1st to April 3rd is nominations -> April 4th we count the nominations so we can update our threads -> April 5th to April 8th is voting -> April 9th we count the votes and announce the winners

 

that was my plan... but i want to hear every other council's view on a stratergy... and with you being away.. we might have a few minor problems

 

at least we get a day to count the nominations through PMs for a day, and votes aswell. If obviously this doesn't work.. i'm all out of ideas

Nah, if we're doing that, we need to make the above part, and some clarification, like "What is YCM Awards" just under the link. But good idea.

That will be good... But whos going to start up the awards thread and become host?

 

obviously there is no point having a Advertising YCM Awards thread in General... but we honeslty need these things to be done pronto... weve only got 3-4 days left... so we need to decide on whats going to happen

You could bump back the start date to buy some times, but in alternate, if the main issue is the voter maximum, then just change it.

 

According to the new layout there are to be far more awards than previous months, not to mention the increased competition (that's big ol' 60,000 or w/e), there's less chance of someone running away with a lot of awards.

 

I've never seen a problem with large award-hauls from members (notably God Kaze in Sep., Oct. '07, with 5 in both months), so it's little to worry about.

 

Maybe make the maximum: Members can only use two votes on the one person per thread. I realise that totals ten, but their aren't that many butt-kissers here these days, right?*

Perhaps members of the Moderating Staff could reward a person who wins an Award with a Rep, of which states that they won that award for that certain month.

 

Therefore it would be an everlasting statement, an extra + and if the Moderators did it, it would show it was Genuine, as Moderators would not create a false one, as that would be an abusement of power.

 

Thats just one of my Insane ideas.
