Both of them are, sadly, unusable in normal Frognarchs - mainly because of how Soul Exchange, one of the win conditions of the deck, is utter anti-synergy with its effect. They require their own deck (Spiritnarchs), and in there, they work hella amazing. Especially Fenghuang, given how it can clear the backrow for a game-winning blow from Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi. Dark Dust Spirit isn't bad, but at times it can be anti-synergy with the concept of Spiritnarchs, and besides there are enough ways to kill opp's monsters in the deck, so I run only 1 right now. Overall both act more as presences instead of actual cards, if you get what I mean. Simply letting the opponent know you've got a Fenghuang in your hand is enough to make him hesitate from setting backrow except TT or the Solemn Trio, and allows smoother plays (or, if your opponent still goes on setting stuff, you can tell what they are). It's got great synergy with Hino, too. On the other hand, DDS is anti-synergy with Hino, given how Hino only works when it inflicts damage (your opponent will keep on setting stuff if he can't get rid of DDS). Anyways, both wonderful card design. There's a reason Spiritnarchs is one of my favorite decks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After blowing a backrow once, the idea of it prevented my opponent from setting most cards, easily giving me more control. That happens in a lot of duels if I have such a basic play like having DD Personality Core or DD Survivor on the field at the same time as Macro Cosmos/D-Fissure/Banisher. I have yet to play DDS, but I will at least try it if I get my hands on one. Maybe setting it for it to be attacked. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
