How can you say a Gemini will be a staple? And how exactly does it replace Breaker? They destroy different things.

Place a Spell Counter once on this card. This card gains 300 ATK for each Spell Counter on it. You can remove 1 Spell Counter from this card to destroy 1 monster on the field.

So after the second summon, just place 1 Spell counter on it. JUST 1!!! Not every turn, just ONCE!!! And that once is when it is Second Summoned. So this card will not replace Breaker, since it's to slow and only destroy 1 monster with it, not a Spell/Trap card.

To be honest, this card actually sucks...

 

Exiled Force > Dark Valkyria

 

Why?

Exiled Force is much easier to search out of your deck with Sangan and that Spell card that search Level 4 or less Warrior type monsters in your deck and you can immediatly activate it and is almost unstoppable, since it's Tribute is a cost and only destroyes a monster when it hits the graveyard.

 

Dark Valkyria in the other hand can't be searched AT ALL, you have to wait a turn to Second Summon (unless you Special Summon it first of course, but once again, there are better choices) and must remain on the field to have it's effect activated, so it can be negated by Skill Drain and Divine Wrath and even more cards.

It is a really cool effect and a little overpowered (1800 normal attack and then 2100 for a level 4)

I think they need to make the OCG clearer, just like God Gak said up there, and it is hard to understand.

I wouldn't go so far as saying it's bad. It is, after all, more versatile, and not a bad draw. Exiled Force is good because it is searchable, but it isn't exactly good at being a beatstick if the time comes. It also disappears after it's effect, so it doesn't work as tribute fodder. This card's gemini status kills it on the competitive level, but it isn't a bad card.

Basically, you first summon a vanilla 1800 ATK beatstick. Then, if it ever survived, you can throw your normal summon away for 2100 ATK beatstick, or to destroy a monster.

 

Might as well use Cyber Dragon and Smashing Ground.

It IS bad. 1800 means unsearchable; Gemini means it might as well be a tribute monster, except tributes can abuse Frog/Soul Exchange/whatever. And clearly, no one would waste their Premature/Monster Reborn on this. I'm having a hard time picturing anyone using this over, say, Zaborg. It's bad even for a Gemini monster.

It's OK... If you want to run Gemini / Normal monster support, Pitch-Black Power Stones and crap like that, you can abuse this card, not worth it in a regular deck.

Bad card is bad.

 

Waste a normal summon for an 1800 stick. Second summon it for... one free monster destruction. Summoning Vorse Raider and then summoning Exiled Force next turn is much more productive... and when summoning Vorse Raider is actually looking like a decent idea, you know you ****ed up somewhere.

This card is really useless and cannot replace anything. No breaker because it just doesn't destroy s/t. No Exiled force because it can be BTH'ed. How will you get rid of his Marshmallon now? And it can never be a staple, because it is too slow and just worthless.
