Bahamut - Envoy of the End
I did check first, and although the individual cards have been discussed a lot, the archetype has never been discussed as a collective. So given the debate over whether these should/will ever see the light of the printers, now we can. Some people couldn't give a stuff about them being released. Some people want them released purely on the basis of 'cuz IV'. Some people believe they will be a genuinely fun deck they'd like to play. After all there seems to be plenty of bad ones, and plenty of pretty decent ones too. So yeah, let's have an overall discussion. Strengths, Weaknesses, and Existing Support The Gimmick Puppets are mostly DARK (well, all the better ones are) and Machine type, so have plenty of existing support, especially in terms of Dark Grepher and Armageddon Knight that can dump them in the Graveyard to be special summoned from there. Their low attack makes them easily searchable with Sangan and Dark Eruption, or summonable through Tomato and the like, although not having any muscle at all except for their existing Xyz makes keeping them out tough if for some reason you can't spam two out and Xyz. There is also a lot of potential dead drawness about them, so being able to dump cards like Necro Doll out of your hand and into your Graveyard would be key. The likes of Trade In might be your best bet. A Chaos build is maybe possible, again as casual if anything, with Black Luster Soldier conveniantly being another level 8 that's easily spammed. Of course by now we're all pretty familiar with the archetypes bosses; Giant Killer, Heaven's Strings, and Destiny Leo, and how they operate. Of course another option for a win condition is Neo Galaxy Eyes, and the soon to be released monstrosity Fran Ken, which some believe is the herald of the Puppets march. Individual High (and low) lights of Arcehtype Putting the Xyz monsters aside for this bit, highlighted a few of the best and worst in the set (in my opinion of course, which is [s]probably[/s] terrible) to go from there. Unfortunately my computer seems to be allergic to yugioh.wikia right now, so I'm going to try and put links in for you as best I can. If someone wants to fetch pictures to be added here that would be lovely.
Necro Doll http://yugioh.wikia....et_-_Necro_Doll A level eight monster that special summons itself, from the graveyard, for essentially the free cost of banishing another copy of itself that was in the beyond with it. There are plenty of ways to dump it as will be mentioned, and its low attack makes it all the more searchable as mentioned above. Gear Changer http://yugioh.wikia...._-_Gear_Changer Changes level to match any other Gimmick Puppet you control. Can be bought out by One for One (which ditches Necro Doll in the process if you happen to draw like an anime character) and other such cards, then its pretty much Xyz into whatever you damn well feel like. Magne Doll http://yugioh.wikia....et_-_Magne_Doll Couldn't be simpler as it can be special summoned when faced with an Xyz monster, although obviously a Cydra style of being faced with any monster would be preferable. Again the low attack aids it in the same way as Necro Doll.

Gimmick Box http://yugioh.wikia....iki/Gimmick_Box Unfortunately with the limited activation window of taking battle damage to activate, in a back row heavy format, this card which seems to be a favourite amongst people is limited in its potential. But still one of the better cards especially if Heavy ever went away again. Being able to surprise your opponent by negating the battle damage and springing a level eight trap monster that then matches their attacking monster would be amusing if nothing else. Junk Puppet / Puppet Ritual http://yugioh.wikia....iki/Junk_Puppet http://yugioh.wikia....i/Puppet_Ritual Yes I would like seven Monster Reborns please. Junk Puppet can bring back any of the regular Puppets except for the hopeless anyway Bomb Egg, whilst Ritual brings back anything if your life points are low enough including the Xyz monsters (I think, like I said, wikia down). Nightmare http://yugioh.wikia....pet_-_Nightmare In the anime; can be special summoned by releasing 1 Gimmick Puppet, then if the released monster was an Xyz, it can be used as two materials for Xyz. Suspect if released would be an advance summon with one tribute and get the Photon Kaiser treatment, but still with the above mentioned revival cards supporting it or other monsters for its tribute, then summoning another copy of itself from the deck for Giant Killer/Heaven Strings with two cards if on.

Unfortunately there are always a few. Baby Face (situational plot device), Scarecrow (too slow), Bomb Egg (discard to burn 1/10th of opponents Life Points, great), Scissor Arm (depends entirely on the equips Attack Gimmick and Destiny Strings, and who runs equips?) and Repair Puppet (only brings out level 4's and below, which you should only be running in Gear Changer) pretty much fall into. Night Joker I'm undecided on to be honest.
So yeah, just thought it's a topic worth general discussion. Will they or won't they ever be released? If so where, which ones, and more importantly would you play them at all? Could they be competitive, or just casual at best? I'll stop talking now, so go ahead. ~British Soul~
first off, Y U mispell Archetype? even though it doesn't really matter I would actually like these to be released, they have potential and aren't that broken as a whole. If these were released, Number 22 would be more usable, not to mention it would make the IV fans/fanboys very happy pandas.

That is... when I can actually view the damn wikia.
fair enough, i could say: "damn you people on the wikia" anyway, i really would like to see these guys released. i hope they get released eventually, after all T.G. didn't get released the first time they appeared. I hope we see IV again and that he duels again so that hopefully the Gimmick Puppets can come out

Think next time I'm just going to make an opening post of 'Insert archtype name. Discuss'. Would save a lot of wasted time writing an actual argument/topic for discussion. Toffee.
Basically what everyone is hoping for, is Gimmick Puppets end up getting a T.G. Treatment, in the sense that they decide to re-do a lot of the archetype's main points to greatly improve them. I.E., random stuff like Bomb Egg gets additional effects to make it worth playing. CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight
Imo it is quite possible that konami is holding this off for a DARK set. Like we have REDU and ABYR being support for Earth and Water, so we would have to wait 3-4more sets to come (depend if the set after fire and wond is either light or dark). I guess it will be a long wait.
DARKPLANT RISING
Perhaps, Gimmick Puppets will get the Arcana Force treatment. In GX, Saioh reappeared several years after being the primal antagonist, and right after his reappearance, the Arcana Forces were OCG'ed. And given ZeXal's OP 3 confirms III isn't dead, there's a damn good chance of IV and V reappearing too, later on in the anime (probably after Tron dies). THEN, Gimmick Puppets will finally get to be printed. At least that's what I think. Or, they could just release in the set after Abyss Rising and give us fan service.
