Tribute Summon is when you "sacrifice" monsters on the field that YOU CONTROL to summon another monster of higher "star power". 5 and 6 "star" monsters need 1 sacrifice to summon. 7,8,9,10,11,12 "star" monsters need 2 sacrifices to summon. There, I explained it to the point that a 7 year old duelist can understand. If you still don't understand it then your hopeless.

Don't be so hard on him.

He probably plays frogs.

You still should know what Tribute Summon is. All beginners uses them until he/she start going into the stage in duelist life where he/she start summoning 50 monsters in one turn.

Yeah, but Tribute Summoning is bad for you. It shows that you're slow and you never know if it's worth it in the end. Most of the time, it's not.

It's weed, that's what it is.

Well, I don't have a problem with slow, and definitely don't have a problem with Tribute Summons, but it's absolutely correct that in this Meta, you want to try to avoid Tribute Summoning at all costs for reasons you have listed. I mean, in my Ninja deck I can wreck pretty good against certain decks, but holy heck if I draw into a Prime Material Dragon I am screwed. That's why it would never go to a competitive level. Well, one of the reasons.

Show me a Level 11 or 12 monster that can be Tribute Summoned.

I'll wait.

You didn't really need to explain it to the point where 7-year-old duelists can understand, because we all know about it from the start. Everyone. Thing is, Tribute Summons are never done in the current tournament-level metagames, and so it's virtually the same thing as being nonexistent.

We're way better at the game than you, kid. We know what we're talking about, unlike you, and we're at a level where we know that "this card can be Tribute Summoned, so it's good" doesn't make any sense. Aggro was also humorous enough to troll the hell outta you, and while I was dubious whether you'd fall for it, it really worked. Which sorta means you're so bad at the game you don't deserve to post anything here till you learn.

Casuals are not to be done till you learn the professionals first.

In the moron's defence, Lancer Frogs topped Irish Nats.

With every post you make, I find you that much more wonderful as a person.

Anyway, Tribute Summons are a thing of the past, for now. More often than not, they're not worth the risk that comes with the reward. Sure, Frogs can do it easily, and there are some builds that can tech a Caius or two, but to use "Tribute Summoning" as an argument as to why DMoC may or may not be good is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Neither one is really more broken than the other because they're both equally bad for the game and should both be @ nothing other than 0.

idk why people still think Frogs aren't a legit deck taking into account that they can run cards to easily beat all of the top decks.

They have a tougher time countering OTKs, at least from my experiences.
