So, what is a "good format"?

in which having silver-bullet answers
to one or two opposing combos
in your Main Deck
is not needed to avoid losing.

PoG and Duo weren't the problems, Ring was the problem.

It didn't ruin Goat Format though.

A format where two different decks have only 10% or less of their Spells, Traps and Extra Deck in common.

Basically, leave room for more splashable / tech cards.

Goat Control format in a nutshell

Ring was derp, but not as bad as those 2 imo. At least Jinzo was still around to make ring slightly worse, and the only big beater that anyone played was BLS, if I recall correctly.

Yes, you're going to open 3 specific limited cards every game.

Heck, I've played games in Goat format where they've opened PoG, Graceful, Duo and Sinister and I've still managed to win. It's how you use what you have in Goat format, not just what you have.
