Catterjune
Portals So basically... Your Turn: Summon a Portal Opponent's Turn: Attack into Portal. Can't be destroyed by battle. No battle damage. Your Turn: Summon the other Portal Opponent's Turn: Attack the other Portal. It's either gonna be a direct attack on their life points or they're gonna get a monster destroyed and lose life points. There is literally no downside to running these. Granted not all monsters need downsides but it's just kind of silly. Your opponent could summon their own Portal and screw you over. These are all just random thoughts BTW, not criticisms or praise or anything. Portal Gun No one cares. After they read what Blue and Orange Portal does, they're not gonna be so stupid that they'd wanna attack again. And if they were, then just about anything could work, even lying to them. "Yeah, when I activate Portal Gun you take 8000 points of damage." Companion Cube What's the point of this? It's meant to be used with the Portals right? They already have built-in protection. Secondly, Mist Body and Heart of Clear Water exist. They already do everything Companion Cube does, and more. Camera GLaDOS doesn't exist so far as we've seen, so not sure why you include that there. Look, I know you think Maximillion Pegasus had a super badass power, being able to see everyone's cards and stuff, but just because you can see someone's cards doesn't mean you can automatically counter someone. Xi-3
Hmm. The Portals could have massive kickback if their effects are negated, but then what're the chances they'll be summoned in Attack Position? If they were, it'd be obvious to anyone "it's a Trap." These cards rely on the opponent's battle strength. Where is your own? A deck running these cards would almost have to be entirely reactive by its own nature, and your opponent is likely to try to either negate your effects or make your deck-out to win. Also, the cake is a lie.
Jdrawer
I think for the Companion Cube, instead of saying "ATK" you should say "base ATK," but that's just my own personal opinion.
dragonfly9078
Added more cards, changed some of the existing ones. I agree, there is little downside and they are silly, but that's why they're in Pop Culture and not balanced I suppose. Also, for the record, I do not think Pegasus had a great power. is it good to help anticipate things? yes. is it especially useful? not really, but it fits the base and makes me feel like GLaDOS. able to see everything, but not control what the test subject does. Thanks for the comment though! A senior member, a non senior member, and a moderator commenting on my whim of a card set?
Not so my friend! well, partially so! but the Portals can be placed on your opponent's side of the field with the use of the ASHPD, allowing you to bypass their monsters for a direct attack with one on each side
Jdrawer
Man, can you imagine how strong this deck could be with a Field Spell that increased a Machine-type monster's ATK by as little as 490?
Xi-3
So you can summon the Portals to your opponent's side of the field and still do things with them? It was my understanding that cards summoned to your opponent's field are controlled by your opponent, including their effects. Is this not so? Because if you can control the Portals in your opponent's Field, you're also taking up his or her monster slots -- and that seems like a bit of a cheat to me. Nevermind: I don't see an effect on either Portal cards that say they can go into your opponent's field. What's more, the controller of the card does not take battle damage in a battle involving a Portal card. Curiosity Core wants to know when you're going to make the GLaDOS Cores. Also, some of those card names are really long. Whoever uses them is going to be out of breath often, aren't they?

Also, if you have a portal gun, you can move Portals that they summoned (though they can move them back with their own portal gun of course). If they are on the opponent's side of the field, they are indeed under their control, so they can use them as a Tribute, to pay a cost, change them to Defense (destroying them) or whatever. Since the effect changes the target to another monster or a direct attack, does it still count as involving the card? I hadn't thought of that... maybe I should take that bit out? might make the cards more balanced.
Xi-3
It's using the card's effect, so it is involving the portal card. Wait, so if your opponent is also using a Portal Deck you can use each other's Portal cards to wage direct attacks on each other? That's just... confusing. I would not run a Portal Deck, simply for lack of knock-down power on its own. Where are the beatsticks?
