AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Sometimes, I feel that way. You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard) by Tributing 1 Level 5 or higher FIRE monster (except "Firestorm Seignior"). When this monster is Special Summoned: You can look at your opponent's hand; send 1 card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard. If it was a Monster Card, inflict damage to both players equal to the DEF of the monster. The effect of "Firestorm Seignior" can only be activated once per turn. (More JazinKay.) The easiest way of getting this guy's Special Summoning requirements fulfilled is with a Laval Deck, or just Instant Fusioning Vermillion Sparrow. (Geez, Instant Fusion suddenly has a lot of hype in RC lately). I feel that the hand-destruction effect would work for this card due to it being an effect that can miss the timing and having its Special Summon conditions take effort to bring out. [s]As for the 2k burn:[/s] I stereotyped that FIRE is for burning again. How dare I. But it was just to prevent this guy from being practically a vanilla once he hit the field. So, YCM, are the Special Summoning requirements too easy for this card? Too hard? Is the burn too high? Is the hand-destruction effect too powerful? Flame on. newhat
[fire-related word] [masculine title] The Special Summon is pretty easy with Laval Lancelord or Fire Armor Ninja, though there's no easy way to dump this guy to the Graveyard (unlike REDMD). He provides an instant, very good +1 and fast damage. I'd say he's acceptable.
Miror B
Last effect overdoes it. Free damage for playing the game? Oh hell no. Everything else is fine though. Losing a big monster for another big monster and getting a hand drop is good. I'd just say balance it out by making the hand drop only activate once per turn period to avoid possible loops. Oh and is this a condition or an effect? If it's an effect lose that Parenthesis. If it's a condition lose the colon.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Ok, so it won't have an aggro-burn effect then. I'm trying to have it be more than a 2800 vanilla once it uses the hand-drop effect though. The second idea was for it to become a 2k burn backlash if your opponent kills it with a card effect, but that's probably bad too. And, also, I didn't understand the last statement too well. Is it worded correctly now? I have no idea what you didn't understand was supposed to be a condition or effect, but it's probably supposed to be a condition, so I changed the colon into a comma. Miror B
Was its summon supposed to start a chain or not? If not then word it like Grapha. If so then word it like Dark Simorgh. As for the hand drop once per turn effect I meant to work it like Rescue Rabbit, as in "The effect of "Firestorm Seignor" can only be used once per turn." I only say this to prevent some stupid loop that could come in the future if we were to get a self-reviving FIRE tuner or something like that. You know, Synch, tribute Synch for this, ditch from hand, revive tuner, Synch with this, tribute Synch for this, etc.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
There. And yeah, I forgot to put the name in that part of the effect for some reason. I'm still considering giving it an effect that makes it more useful than Metal Armored Bug while it's on the field. I haven't decided on what though. :/
marquispullie
good card 7/
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Numerical ratings are rather worthless. Do you have any thoughts about the card? Anything to say other than "good card" and giving it a number? I appreciate comments, but quality>quantity. :/
marquispullie
well i mean the effect is balanced, and Lavals could definitely use it to do some major hand and field control. there's really not much else for it, but for a level 8, it is kind of wayy too easy to summon. but thats just my opinion. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Well, I tried to make it where you couldn't make it too easily, hence the Lv5+ prerequisite, but it could hit the field easily enough to not be completely terrible in the game. That said, I still have yet to give it an effect to make it more than a vanilla once the hand-drop resolves, but I haven't really been trying. To be honest, it probably could remain this way. (Strategic-ish-not-really bump.)
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
I am (trying to) hoard RC's attention by bumping this again. :/
Dr. Cakey
I just had a thought: what if you made the discard effect inflict some amount of damage to both players instead of just the opponent? It's a modification of its summoning effect instead of an on-the-field effect, but it'd make the card a bit more interesting.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
...It doesn't burn your opponent anymore though? I could give it a Caius-sized burn if it hits a monster card to somewhat encourage them being the target for this effect rather than Spells or Traps, but I'm currently more interested in an on-field effect. Still, it might help.
Wyvernstorm
the summoning condition (1 level 5 or higher)...i invented it lol
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Not really. I was just trying to get a decent cost for it. :/ Anything else you would like to add?
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
I took up on the suggestion and made a burn-at-both-players part for the discarding effect. Since DEF stats are usually lower, I doubt this would hurt your opponent too much, but I'm probably gravely wrong there. Someone tell me if this is true.
