Not like you have much to compare Destroyer to, if you're going with non-Jap art. A whopping 2 other cards.

I'd say exactly what I've said so far again, but Cursed (.Rai) explained it better than I could, already, so just read what he said.

Well I'm talking about how they are drawing, not what they are drawing. I think we're arguing about different stuff here...Destroyer (which, again, I have no problem with it's art generally) fits YGO becuase of what it is, and may doesn't fit becauseof how it is drawn. And I guess Madolches are the same thing vice-versa. they're not monsters\fighters\magicians or something agressive like that but they do follow the japanese "pattern" of how they are drawn.

What Japanese pattern? Anyone would think you're just using a preset bias to defend the way Madolche are drawn. It's simple, they don't fit Yugioh's style. My only point was that people hate this, but not them, when neither fit, and it seems completely stupid. Personally, I'm not a fan of the style they gave Madolche, but I don't waste my time complaining about it because it's nice to see some variety (I just b**** about how horribly designed they are) but there's no denying they're just as far (at least) from the general art style for yugioh than this.

The only thing you can define about the way YGO art is drawn, simply because it's ridiculously diverse, is that it's mostly bad background + thing with a glow around it. It might as well have no way it's drawn anyway if it's just that. It's a welcome change.

The only thing you can judge about YGO art is the theme.

By "Japanese pattern" I mean that you can clearly see that it was designed by artists that drew most of the other cards...with prophecy destroyer you can clearly see it's drawn in a differrent way, by different artist(s)...
But I really don't want to continue this argument. It's very pointless becuase you either don't get what I say (I guess it's my lack of good english) or we have different prespective about these stuff. Also I'm not completley disagreeing with you I just wanted to show my opinions :\

FFS, just because a card works from the grave doesn't mean you should make a LS variant.

I did say it would be idiotic. Idiotic things are sometimes the more fun ones to test.

There's absolutely no problem with them experimenting with new art styles, especially good ones.

Look at Madolche. I see very few people complaining about their art style, but it's one that barely fits Yugioh, where monsters are generally either pseudo-realistics or just plain monsters.

Oh and... what's wrong with being like MTG in terms of art anyway? MTG's art is f***ing fantastic.

look at the naturias. they look like they were made for children. -.-
and then look at the chaos dragons. see where i'm getting at here?

idgi, you point of an archetype where some of the monsters are indeed exceptions to the general Yugioh artwork... Then compare them to Chaos Dragons that fit it perfectly.

I don't get whether you're agreeing with me or not, honestly you can't say something that... uninformative without elaborating.

that's actually what i'm saying. the "grown-ups" get the better drawn cards because they are actually better (game-wise, not art. and some exceptions apply)

and yeah, i'm agreeing with you.
