guuu1234
Seriously, can someone explain this to me. I started playing mid-synchro era, and I constantly see around this forum that the TeleDAD format was one of the worst for this game. Ever. Now I'm really curious about it. Dementuo
iirc, it was something like E-Tele @3, D-HERO Malicious @3, and Destiny Draw @3, with DAD at @2-3 The way I remember it was D-Draw off a Malicious, snatch another, E-Tele into Krebons, Synch for Stardust/Thought Ruler/Whatever Level 8, and when it dies, do it again. Meanwhile, you should only ever have 2-3 DARKs in the grave, making DAD easily dropped.
guuu1234
That's it? I always thought it would be something more, as that just looks inconsistet. with malicious at 3, and with so much draw power, don't your run a huge risk of drawing into more malicious or emergency teleport targets?
Even if you drew into unwanted Malicious we also had plague at 3 iirc and the deck ran Dark Grephers..so manipulating your hand and grave was stupidly easy. Dementuo
RotA was @2 that format too, so Grepher was easily searchable.
Legend Zero
When I played during that time the end field of the opening move was a combination of 2 or more Stardust Dragon, Thought Ruler Archfiend, Dark Armed Dragon, Solemn Judgements. 80-90% of the time was the opening move in my area. Agro
And MST was @1 and Solemn Judgment was @3. It was a lot harder to pull off an explosive play, but when you did, everything just blew up.
This Account is Unplayable
TeleDAD in a nutshell: Draw, draw, draw. Ditch Malicious and PSZ cards. Synch for 8 2 or 3 times in a turn. Drop DAD. Win.
Sleepy
Destiny Draw drops Malicious and draws 2> Malicious effect brings another one > Emergency Teleport Summons Krebons > Synchro for Stardust #1 Malicious effect brings another one > Allure of Darkness draw > Allure of Darkness draws > Destiny Draw > use second Teleport > Synchro for Stardust #2 Special Summon DAD as you now have 3 DARKS > You still have 3 cards in hand, at least 1 of them is a Solemn Judgement. Other outs include: -You have 2 Malicious in hand. Summon Armaggeddon Knight and drop Plaguespreader > return second Malicious and also Special Summon it. > combo becomes a Stardust. -Let the last Malicious or Plague stay so you can Crush Card after your opponent's Draw Phase. Oh btw, almost forgot. Brain Control was also legal.
guuu1234
Oh . . . That explains a lot. One more thing: how did konami (or was it upperdeck back then?) go about shutting down TeleDAD during that format, since everyone says the deck is 12 feet under with no hope of coming back? This Account is Unplayable
1 Allure, 2 Malicious, 1 PSZ, 1 DAD, 2 E-Tele, 2 D-Draw, 1 Judgment, no Dustshoot. Pretty sure that's everything particularly important.

Sleepy
One more thing in blue:
Destiny Draw drops Malicious and draws 2> Malicious effect brings another one > Emergency Teleport Summons Krebons > Synchro for Stardust #1 Malicious effect brings another one > Allure of Darkness draw > Allure of Darkness draws > Destiny Draw > use second Teleport > Synchro for Stardust #2 Special Summon DAD as you now have 3 DARKS > You still have 3 cards in hand, at least 1 of them is a Solemn Judgement. Then use the Armaggeddon Knight/Dark Grepher with Plaguespreader and make Goyo. Not sure if Brionac was around back then or not... Oh btw, almost forgot. Brain Control was also legal.

mido9
Pretty sure that sans the trinity and overextension punishments you had to work for advantage, while in DAD the deck threw advantage everywhere with malis,DADs,goyos and stuff, and there were a lot of decisions with techs to make in deckbuilding.
