Why isn't there a card like this?

Before damage calculation, when this card attacks a Defense Position monster: Return that monster to the top of the Deck.

Very simple really. There is no non-tribute monster I am aware of with this effect, and give it some ATK and you got a decent card. So why doesn't this exist? And I thought I knew of a tribute monster with this effect, but I can't find it.

You can search for effects on Dueling Network, it's really helpful for finding past effects and OCG and whatnot.

Just informing the OP that there are cards that exist like this, that's all. Obviously this card is better, though I doubt it would be made with the same stats or type. This is arguably better than any other spin effect monster ever created with no drawback and a reusable effect.

I know, I couldn't find the right OCG. I probably would have never guessed that one. It had top of your OPPONENT'S deck, I searched "top of THE deck" and "top of THEIR deck."

On the bright side, now that I know the wording (the wording with the new OCG would still be the top of THE deck so my ocg would still be correct) is Mystical Knight of Jackal.

But its a 2 tribute monster. So yea.

This takes Jackal's effect, makes mandatory. and sticks it on a 1900 warrior. Maybe I should make it a more Ehren-Style card except spinning to the top, going for either Falcos if you leave it in ATK or this if you put it in DEF?

I updated the card. Tell me if this is a bit more creative. Thinking of adding on some redirecting effect so it forms a slightly tighter lock with Falcos.

It still flips the monster face-up, unfortunately, unless you word it like Grandmole. I think the original idea was good, really, but maybe add a drawback of sorts, like Mist Valley Falcon.

Hm, not exactly sure why there needs a drawback. I mean Ehren's effect "drawback" is more of a bonus really, and Mist Valley Falcon's drawback is very abusable. Especially with the cards I am releasing.

Reason why I changed it is because I don't like cards that blatantly replace the old cards even when the old cards have so much potential.

And why would it still flip the monster, I followed the exact same wording pattern as ehren.

And Ehren flips the monster face-up, because her effect activates in the damage step, after it's flipped face-up but before damage calc.

Based on what you're going for, either effect (winged sage falcos-style, or ehren-style spin) would work, and with the cards type and stats, woulde definitely be playable.
