Organized Chaos
This is a story/partial fanfic I have come up with. It is based on LSD:Dream Emulator, a creepypasta based on a game so weird and bizarre that people are still scared of it today (Search it on Youtube if you want to know. You won't regret it). My story doesn't involve a game but more the Protagonist suffers horribly realistic nightmares that tear his life apart. So, hopefully this will be better than my last fanfic. Enjoy. Warning: There will be some scary themes and violence so just a heads up.
Dreams are always something that has haunted me for a long time. The unexplainable uncertainties as you go from being devoured by Elder Things to living in a luxurious floating fortress as the king of the Earth. I had always tried to gain a grip on my dreams as it was slipping into my life. I had begun to see things, hear voices when I was alone and soon I was being stalked by someone that wasn’t even there. So I went to a doctor, a psychiatrist and strangely enough, the internet. Each offered false solutions. The pills did nothing but make me more paranoid, talking to the therapist only brought regret-filled tears to my eyes and even with all the easy step-to-step guides, lucid dreaming was not an option. Soon reality and fantasy were interchangeable and my life began to crumble. I was fired from my job as a mattress salesmen (Irony really hurts don’t it?). It wasn’t much but it was enough to put food on the table and pay the bills for my apartment. And that was the next thing to go, the apartment. My landlord evicted me almost immediately after I was fired. I didn’t like that nosy son of a gun anyway. Then I found myself sleeping under bridges, eating whatever I could find and being surrounded by only the company of myself. My dreams persisted even after ruining what little life I had. They became more aggressive, more terrifying. I started to fear I was going out of my mind and my fictional stalker was not helping. And here I lie now, dreaming. Dreaming of running... Running. I was running, rushing down what appeared to be an old staircase. Each hurried step made the boards creak and squeak in supposed agony. I really couldn’t care about the pain of inanimate objects for the moment, I had to keep going. Or else that guy in the grey trench coat will get me. But for me that was normal. This was a normal day for me in..... I have no idea where I am. I never have any idea where I am. There are strange neon signs on the dirt-covered wall but they don’t say anything useful. Only the same sentence in a crimson light that creeps me out to no end: “HE SHALL HAUNT YOU.” He is that stalker. The one I “imagined”. He too is descending these stairs but his steps make no sound. His form makes no shadow in the dim light. He doesn’t appear in every dream but when he does, it’s always the same: Grey trench coat, grey fedora and no visible face. He is close behind me. I can feel his cold breath on the back of my neck. I look straight ahead but it’s just another wall, forcing me to turn left. My feet have hit more than 350 steps already and have passed 35 floors yet none of them had any door, no windows, only the same dark wallpaper and those damn signs. It doesn’t matter anyway. He always gets me in the end. Everytime he touches me, I hear a distant scream that emanates from my very soul. Then I wake up, cold, afraid and usually stained with urine. But there’s something there. I squint as I get closer and it’s a door! The familiar rectangular shape greets me like an old friend. I’ve reached the exit! I reach for the door handle but my fingers simply stroke the teasing darkness ahead. There was no door handle. “Damn! No what do I do?! That freak is going to get me!” I scream in frustration. The air around me becomes cold and I know why. I turn around and there he is, watching me. I stare back, into the empty abyss beneath the wide brim of his fedora. Time passes as we stand off, neither one of us make a move. He’s waiting for me to do something. This isn’t like him. I wait. He waits. And soon I feel very afraid. The fear almost....sneaks up on me. I now REALLY want to get out of here. Then I see his hand shudders. Then it twitches. He raises his arm and points at me. He begins to speak but there is no sound as if the words are coldly chiselled into my mind: “Why do you run from the inevitable?” And with that, he starts to move towards me. I quickly turn back to the door and examine it. There must be something I can do and fast! He’s getting closer, I can feel it. There are no features on the door. No keyhole, no handle, no pad. There was nothing! He was a few feet away. This was the end. As I accepted my fate, I placed my hand against the oak of the door. Then something happened. There was a bright light all around me and I felt safe for once. I felt like I was no longer in danger, as if I was somewhere else. In all the times I had faced that creature, I had never touched any doors or exits. I guess my mind had just assumed that there was no exit. I shook my head in disbelief and somewhat relief. “Thank god. That was scary.” I sigh as the light begins to dissipate and my suspicions are confirmed: I am somewhere else. I appear to be in some sort of Japanese village with all the strange houses with the roofs that surpass over the walls. There are is a bridge in the distance with a nearby cherry blossom tree which is already in bloom. The village seems abandoned except for what sounds like the wind. I begin to walk around, exploring this new place. The houses change colour as I move on but I cannot go too far as a huge wall circles around the village, stopping me from escaping. Closer to the middle of the village, over the bridge, there is a rock garden, a pond and a large cast iron bell which looks as if it has not been rung in a long time. Thankfully there are no neon signs. There is nothing else here but I’m still curious about that strange flash of light and my transportation to this place. I must test it out somehow. I must find another door I search the village again but there are no doors. All the houses are simply open yet have no rooms , just an open blackness that reminds me of that creature so I leave from the buildings as soon as possible. Will the flash work without doors, I think to myself. My thoughts are interrupted as I realise I’m not alone here. There is a strange sound waltzing into my ear drum. It sounds like static mixed in with heavy footsteps and the sound of crying? Yet I don’t see anything new, no people that were hiding in the corner of my eye. I look around as the sound gets louder and louder. The sun is very bright yet it does not even sting my eyes as I look up into the sky. There is some sort of bird there. And it’s coming towards me from the sky. I fear that it is going to be that grey man again but it’s not. It appears to be a young woman, wearing a red and white kimono as she floats down on what appears to be angel wings. She has hair as dark as night but as shimmery as the ocean. Her face is bright and cheerful as she smiles at me from above. Her beauty is captivating, goddess like even. The static gets louder and louder but I feel comforted. A feeling that I’m safe with her. I hear her calling my name as she descends. I wish to hug her as if it will help. Screw escaping. Screw reason. I don’t ever want to wake up if it means leaving her. She is now on the ground, her wooden sandals making slow steps towards my location. I run towards her, arms out stretched. Her breathtaking beauty draws me in like a fish to bait. She embraces me with a warm hug, as if she knows me. She giggles at my forwardness. But something seems off. The static has stopped. There is nothing but silence. “Why is it so quiet?” I ask, my head still on her shoulder. There is no reply. I pull away and stare at her in disbelief. I couldn’t hear her breathing. I stare at her face that I had found so pretty before. It had changed. Her beautiful face is now rotting and green, one of her bloated eyeballs is hanging out of the socket. Her kimino is torn and the stench of decay burns my nostrils. Before she can do anything, there is that flash of light and she is gone. This time however, I wake up. ListenToLife
That game was trippy. Really really weird. And you've managed to capture a similar essence. A disturbing and yet captivating chapter already. And I cant help but picture the Slenderman's Casual brother when you describe this guy in the fedora. XD Great chapter though. I can feel it getting even more disturbing than this, and as such I'm definitely reading it.

Organized Chaos
Next chapter
The darkness of confusion fluttered inside my mind. All I knew was that my head was against the urine-stained floor of the subway station that I had fell asleep in, and that I had escaped death by what seemed like an inch. I tried to remember my dream but the only memory was that flash of light and that creepy fedora guy’s featureless face. Only him and the light, no locations, no people, no nothing. Yet, despite having no eyes, it was almost as if he was... staring at me with eyes...of regret and pity. “What the hell is wrong with me?” I mumbled, my words stuttering like the product of a drunken stupor. I needed to figure out what was wrong with me and fast before I was killed in my dreams by HIM. But first, I would have to get up. Slowly and painfully, I began to raise my head off the cold cement, my vision still swarming with colours. Now with that done, I placed my left hand to help sit myself up. A strange liquid coated my fingers as the right hand reached the floor. “EUUURGH!” Instantly, I sat up like a bullet, the realisation and repulsion of me lying in my own piss healed my head pains. I now began to look around, my neck still stiff from my awkward sleeping position. I was definitely in a subway but not one that one I knew. The large rectangular room I was in had about 4 rusted benches in, 2 to each side of the wall, and one door on the furthest wall from me which was already open and led to darkness. All the signs were of places I had never heard of: South Vale, Toluca Lake, Brookhaven Hospital while the rest were covered in graffiti, making them impossible to read. I then remembered the puddle that I was lying in and decided to look down to see if my clothes were stained in the foul liquid. But as I looked down, I noticed it wasn’t urine. It was blood. Not just a puddle but a trail of freaking blood going all the way up to the dark door. Curious, I then stood up, both feet aching in unison, and followed the trail towards the open door. Each footstep sounded deafening as time itself slowed down in my wake. As I reached the last bench, I noticed something on it: A flashlight. “This’ll come in handy.” I said almost joyfully, switching it on and shining it into the darkness ahead. I moved into a large empty corridor with a set of green double doors at the end. The walls were as red as the trail I was following yet there were dark engravings that showed evil creatures, their appearances becoming more disturbing and scary as I progressed. Soon, about halfway, I knew I was not awake. I was still trapped in the dream world. Now I was banging my hands against the walls trying to activate the flash of light but it was hopeless. “Let me out, I should be awake! I SHOULD BE AWAKE!” I screamed, hoping someone would hear it. The only way out I guess were through the doors at the end. Behind the strange green doors, I found a cylindrical room, oddly bathed in light, almost making fun of the room before. There was not much inside but a strange treasure chest in the middle, with the blood trail stopping abruptly at its podium. The chest itself was large and studded with various body parts among its faux pearl surface as if they were precious jewels. A blue-irised eyeball stared at me as I got closer. Funny, I have blue eyes as well. As I reached to open the macabre treasure, a memory flashed inside of my head. It was of that tower I was in and that grey....man. He was speaking into my mind as he did before but it was not what he said the last time we met, it was something different: “Don’t trust her.” The chest opened, revealing its gruesome contents in: A decapitated head, it’s eyes closed as if in sleep. But the most gruesome thing was it was my head! “What the hell is this?!” I spoke aloud and as I did, the head’s eyes popped open. I found myself staring into my own blue eyes as the head just sat there. Slowly, his lips began to form a smile. Not a normal smile, no. It was one full of evil and malice. Then his lips parted as its raspy mockery of my voice spoke. “So, aren’t you a handsome one then?” I quickly spat my response “Shut up. I don’t need any of your crap. Just tell me how to get out.” It laughed a deep hoarse laugh and spat on my face in disgust. I wiped it away and said “You don’t deserve answers. You don’t deserve to live. This is your punishment and you deserve it, you piece of dirt.” Before I could answer, something entered the room from behind me. As I turned around, I saw the familiar shape of that damn grey fedora. Then there was the flash and I found myself being transported to another place. And again, I had been saved by that flash of light. There was something in my hand, what must have really been inside that chest because what I felt was definitely not a decapitated head. It felt more like a gun. Maybe it would offer me protection against any other threats. As the light faded, I was now in a dark corridor in, Victorian gaslights lighted the way along the obscenely white walls. There was no ceiling, only a view of the stars above and the floor was covered in, if not actually, black water that reflected the night sky above it. Most disappointingly, the “gun” I was holding was actually a... water pistol. “Oh come on! Better than nothing I suppose, let’s hope those freaks are like the Wicked Witch from the West.” I grumbled before pointing menacingly in the 4 corridors that faced me to each side. I picked the left route as I was left-handed so it just felt right. Water pistol in hand, I marched down the corridor to come down to face to face with two more corridors, one to my left and one to my right. But I was definitely wasn’t going left as some sort of bizarre demon was stumbling towards me on its three stilt-like legs, soulless eyes watching me from high above as I studied it in wonder. Its arms ended in long tentacles and it watched me with soulless fish eyes that were messily set into a featureless cube-shaped head of chrome. It’s green and purple suit was stained with what looked like fresh blood. “Urrrrgrffr” It moaned as it edged ever closer, hilarious yet terrifying. I quickly raised my water pistol, pulled the trigger and watched as the water shot at the abomination and did... absolutely nothing so I began to run up the right-hand corridor, the freakish creature still following me. I came to a third fork of again 2 paths but as before, one of the 2 corridors (the right this time) was occupied by one of those strange creatures so I ran up the left. Although they looked frail I bet they could kill me with those tentacles in a less than a second. My water pistol was now in my pocket, in case I needed to water some plants or some useless bull like that. After 3 more corridors and 3 more Blockheads, I soon came to a door (to a room that appeared to have a roof) and no fork in the corridors in this time. But I stopped for a second. What if one of those things is in there, waiting for me? Will the door last? It doesn’t look very strong. I would need to make a decision fast; I could hear the other five scrabbling into the corridor to get me. I ran to the door and yanked it open before entering the room and closing it behind me. I was now in a storeroom, several boxes of old magazines and empty drinks cans litter the dirty floor yet nothing to block the door with. The blasted door doesn’t even have a lock. There was a shelf but it seemed too heavy to move and I had no time now. The grunts and moans of the Blockheads outside were now very loud as they began knocking on the door, an almost funny attempt to make me open the door to my death. Then I saw heard them attacking the door as the wood splintered from the other side. And in a split second, the door smashed open revealing.....

Organized Chaos
Chapter 3. Now this one I found a bit troublesome. I had a plan and stuck to it so now the plot has a few main characters and a backstory is forming but still, even with all the re-editing I did, this one just didn't sit right with me compared to the others. I'll let you decide.
I raised my not very useful water pistol in defence as my only hope of survival was destroyed before my eyes and I was about to be swarmed by monster. I closed my eyes as I heard their moans and groans. A bang as one of them entered the room. I waited and waited for the inevitable but they didn’t move. “Hurry up and do it you bastards!” I shouted yet they didn’t move. My eyes opened and I realised there were no creatures coming through. The only one that had come through the destroyed door wasn’t even alive. It was the body of a fallen Blockhead which had collapsed to the floor in front of me, tentacles chopped off, its suit now stained with its own purple blood. The door was wide open yet none of the Blockheads were coming through. They were too busy being torn apart by what looked like a flash of silver. No wait; it was a blur of thrashing limbs. Whatever it was moved incredibly quickly, almost a blur to my eyes and wielded a large broadsword in one of its armoured hands which it was now using to beat back the Blockhead horde. I couldn’t complain as he or she was staving off my death. I just hoped it would not attack me in its blood rush. “Hyah!” My saviour shouted as it knocked another Blockhead to the ground with a quick chop to its legs before stabbing through its metalized cranium. Two of the ugly blighter swiped at the mysterious person with their suckered appendages but with a single slash, the sword master sliced off their tentacles and had cut through their torsos. Only three remained and were at the very end of the corridor, trying to escape from a painful death. However, the armoured assailant was already charging at them. You could see the fear paralysing the creatures as the assailant leapt into the air and cut them down. I stood there aghast, not sure if to hide or to make myself known. Now that he/she had stopped moving so fast, I could make out the red spiky armour that he/she wore. The broadsword was now coloured purple by the blood of the fallen creatures. “Hello? Are you human?” I called out to whoever it was. He/she turned around and took oh their helmet, revealing a young woman with brunette hair that went past the shoulder guards. “You must be the new arrival.” She said walking up to me quite quickly before raising her hand for a handshake “I’m Afit.” I ignored her somewhat formal greeting “Where am I? I want to go home. What were those things?” I said. She rolled her eyes. “They told me you were rude but not this rude.” This just made me angrier. “Who are ‘they’? Why won’t you answer any of my questions?” I asked, trying not to get angry in case she went all ninja on me like she did with those Blockheads. She answered “Well, you are in... what has been described as the Dream World. Here, you must survive your own mind to escape.” She motioned towards the corridor “This place here is your fear. And those monsters were representations of your various fears.” I then paused. “Okay if the Blockheads were fear, what is that grey guy meant to represent?” I asked, shuddering as I relived the memories of my past encounters. Afit gained a similar fearful look in her eyes. “We don’t like to talk about HIM because frankly, we don’t know what he is. He just appears without warning. Taking the lives of all those near “ Before I could ask any other questions, there was a strange rumbling and HE appeared, right behind Afit. His abyssal face looking over her shoulder at me, taunting me. She started to turn around but then there was the flash of light and I could do nothing to help poor Afit. Or perhaps, if I had stayed, I would have died also. And who said she even died? She took down those Blockheads incredibly easily; she would have no problem with that fedora-wearing freak. Soon, the light faded and I found myself in front of a large pit, having to step back to avoid falling in. Strange sphinx-like staues lined the stone walls and the afternoon sun beat down a merciless heat upon me. Also, the water pistol that I had holstered in my pocket felt heavier so I looked it and found to my happiness, it was now AN ACTUAL PISTOL! “Hell yeah!” I shouted at the emptiness around me, knowing no one would hear it. I quickly checked the cartridge to find only one bullet. As if they were asking for me to use it on myself. There were no exits except for the giant hole. The giant hole that has only darkness inside of its gaping maw. Almost as if it is luring me into its self-destroying embrace. Suddenly, the whining screech of a air raid siren filled the air and I knew something was about to happen. HE was about to happen. Before he even appeared, another memory flashed before my eyes. This time, I was in an old, unused warehouse. There were two people in front of me. One of them was a strange tall man with such pale skin; he seemed more dead than alive. And his eyes... his eyes were like black diamonds, shining in the light yet no reflection was cast on those cold eyes. He looked like more like a living nightmare than a human being. And the other person was.. Afit! She looked scared, terrified even despite carrying her trusty sword. The man walked towards her, Afit’s breathing becoming short gasps of fear and horror. He was just about to kiss her when an explosion blew through the warehouse, burning my eyes kicking me out of this terrifying recollection. Even as I returned to the Dream World, it seemed like I was still in that horrid memory. My vision was blurred and the air around me appeared to fluctuate as I regained my senses. My first sight after being almost blinded was not a pleasant one. It was that grey man, standing on the other side of the pit. His face was as empty as the abyss before him. But I was not scared any more. I wasn’t frightened now. This bastard was going down. “I’m tired of this, you hear me!? I’m tired of this” I shouted, pointing my gun at my ghostly foe. “This is your end!” I then heard a long, ear-scratching laugh as he started to move towards the pit. I tensed as he was two steps from the edge. What does is this lunatic doing? His laughter escalated as he put his foot into the mouth of the pit yet he didn’t fall in. It was if there was an invisible platform beneath him. Soon, he took another step. And another. And another until he had reached the middle of the pit, laughing all the fricking way. I was now getting quite scared. I had no hopes of defeating this guy if he can do that. He then started laughing and spoke to me, in his mind-destroying raspy tone that I had hoped to forget; “I was weak, that’s why I needed you. Someone to punish me for my sins. That’s all over now. I know the truth. Now it’s time to end this.” Then he ran at me, anger in his once apathetic form. I tried to run but I was paralysed by fear. He was only a few feet from me, the invisible platform still holding strong. I was moments away from a slow and agonizing death so I did the only thing I could do. I closed my eyes and pulled the trigger.

Organized Chaos
Sorry for the delay, here is the next chapter. It's a bit short I know and there is still some storyline seeping through (which is bad in this story apparently) but I hope you like it.
I fell to the ground, pain surged through my mind. As the blood seeped out of my fallen body, I could feel my heart beat getting slower and quieter. Yet I had not been attacked by the grey man. In fact, he had stopped in his tracks just as I had put the gun to my head. This was the end all right. The end of me. I didn’t have much time left but as I felt death pull me into his realm of darkness, I looked to the blue sky and wept a single final tear of happiness. Then my eyes closed and there was a flash of darkness. The Grey Man looked at the poor creature in front of him. In all the time that he had been in this hellish place, through all the demons, monsters and horrors, it was this one incident of suicide that had truly unnerved him. He wanted to help the dying man, comfort and heal him. This man was the only company he had in a while. But no, that was not the Grey Man’s duty so he turned and walked towards the exit wall. Touching its ancient surface, he looked back one last time before vanishing into the light and moving on from his only friend. He was now in a strange meadow, the brim of his fedora giving some shade from the burning light above. He knew what he had to do yet it would still take some time. He started to walk up the rows of trees. His objective just beyond the horizon. The trees in question were in full bloom but not a good bloom as pulsing hearts hung from their gnarly branches. The Grey Man was not worried or put off by this, he had seen this so often before. Even as the tree trunks opened to reveal hundreds of rows of sharp teeth, this did not stop him from his mission. He continued walking up the gap between the trees, taking care to avoid their gnashing teeth and organ-laid branches. Soon he found his target; A silver necklace hanging from the tallest tree in the meadow yet surprisingly, the only one with actual fruit. The branches were brimming with the most delicious looking apples, the ripest pears and oranges... No, he had to stay on task, the necklace came first The Grey Man reached for the necklace yet found himself enticed by the fruit. It did look delicious. His gloved hand changed direction and plucked a red apple from the tree but as soon as he did so, the ground began to rumble as a terrible change come over the land. The sky turned bright red as the trees below began to wither and die, the hearts in their branches dropped to the ground, almost screaming before hitting the hard surface and exploding into showers of blood. The grass beneath the Grey Man’s feet burnt into ashes and the ground cracked as if hit by an earth quake. He dropped the plucked apple in surprise as it rotted into slush before his eyes. Only the tree with the silver necklace remained untouched by the dark magic, the rest of the orchard was practically dead. “So Afit really doesn’t want people to be here, does she?” The Grey Man said as he grabbed the necklace quickly before anything else happened. He then muttered “I have what I need. It would be best to leave.” He looked around, looking for some indication of the exit yet the painful looking fence that surrounded the area held no clues. He looked back at the huge tree, only to find it had vanished while he was looking at the fence. In its place, on the scorched earth below, was a note. The Grey Man picked it up and read the scrawled writing inscribed upon it; “Hello Dorian, did you pick up the shopping? Remember, it was eggs, ham and milk. Love, Tiffany ‘Tifa’.” Then it started to come back to him. His name was Dorian and this notes was for him. He shook his head in amazement at his revelation. Dorian remembered now, he had just woke up in a padded room with its heavily-reinforced door wide open. He was already wearing the grey trenchcoat and hat, almost as if he had put them on while sleeping. Yet he couldn’t remember. In fact, he couldn’t remember anything. Not knowing anything else, he got up, left the room and then he just vanished in that familiar flash of light that he was now so accustomed to. As time passed, he forgot his old life and became so enthralled in this Grey Man persona that he had made up, that he became HIM. But that’s all he could remember, nothing else of his past life. Yet it was a start. And as the familiar flash of light overcame his senses, Dorian smiled, knowing things could only get better. ?someone?
Good vibes. Good bad vibes? Good, anyway. Buuuuut everything happens so fast, I barely got five seconds of Afit and the grey man before the twist comes. It seems like... a really really abridged version of a story arc, you know? Where can you go now? You've killed the main character, made a new one and taken him out of the dream world... it feels like it's already over.
