Batteryman while being stoned. [Single]

Following my previous card, Batteryman Dura-cell, I decide to make another card for the Batteryman Archetype. However, unlike the other one, this card is intended to help create another Batteryman deck, a non OTK deck focusing on field control. So yeah, here goes nothing, here's my card. (I know the picture doesn't look like a Batteryman. That's why I called it Machinery Batteryman. As in, Mechs powered by Batterymen.)

1 Machine-type Monster+ 1 "Batteryman" Monster + 1 "Batteryman" Monster
This card is also treated as a Thunder-type Monster while it is Face-up on the field and in the Graveyard. You can Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck by Banishing the above cards from your Field or Graveyard. (This Special Summon is treated as Fusion Summon) If you do, this card cannot Attack the turn it is Special Summoned. Once per turn: You can Banish 1 Thunder-type Monster from your Graveyard; Target 2 Cards on the field and Destroy them. This card cannot declare an attack the turn this effect is used.
Hurray for fusion. Also, if this get good reviews, I might make more cards in the Machinery Batteryman sub-archetype. So yeah, rate, fix and CnC gets a rep. No kidding.

hahaha perfect for main phase 2 when your otk fails. If you couldn't hit for 9k then summon some 5k boss monster and see if that works.

Having said that...I can't really see it being a real competitive force. By using the abundance of Battery revival the deck is really all about field presence I don't really understand trying to go against all of that.

That's exactly why this is created... Or when suddenly Batteryman AA got banned.

It just gives you a chance to comeback quicker once your OTK fails, like you said. Or, it can be used to create an entirely different build. Should I change it's alternate summoning condition to "You can Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck by sending the above cards in your Hand or Field to the Graveyard"

A) hahaha a failed otk means Starlight followed mirror force so this is unlikely (or some stall..-___-)

B) Yeah "to grave" probably breaks it because it just generates absolutely HILARIOUS and BROKEN combos with IRS and that is probably the opposite of what you intended to do. The thing is if you have to do a -3 on the field to drop something he should at least give you some return on investment. As he stands now he is just a more expensive and risky industrial strength.

Uhmm.. You can also SS this by banishing it's materials from the grave...? And then he can blast whatever remaining card your opponent has..? And then kill them next turn...? Plus, this is still a Batteryman, so it can be revived with Battery Charger.

But yeah, the ATK gain effect is far too risky and I changed it to having 4000 ATK instead, which is what the ATK would usually be.

Oh I missed the grave part. Well that makes my whole perspective different. Its pure mid-game otk-ness I mean I thought I was going to initially have to wait till my short circuit got negated and I was able to bait a mirror force. But who needs that when I can just play around the back row with fuel-cell and just drop him for the immediate finish....and you can get him back with charger lol that's interesting.

I guess the 4k can't hurt too bad but now it just seems like he definitely promotes otking now lol

>Promotes OTK
>Can't attack during the turn it is summoned through it's own effect

lol.

Oh lordy, you're so bad at this game. :I

It doesn't have to be able to attack on the turn when it's Summoned if you can use its second effect to clear the field from 2 cards. :I Also being an easy to drop 4k beater doesn't help the card on its balance.

Let's talk about on this cards effect on how to Summon it. Do you know what deck I'm thinking about that could Summon this without a heartbeat? Do you? Well obviously you wouldn't, as if you did, why would you design a card like this? The deck I'm talking about is obviously, the Thunder Family Deck, which runs 3 Batteryman AAA's, and of course, the Machine Fusion Material for this card, Cardcar D.

As Zanda Panda said, Cardcar D and co make this a trololol fest of the highest order. Dropping a 4000 ATK monster in such a simple fashion, and with a powerful effect; really rubs salt into the wounds. If you give Battery men a back up plan, you're going to really tilt the balance. Unhelpful and unneeded.
