Often as the brother of the Judeo-Christian god so on an equal level. Of course if you refer to the Judeo-Christian mythology he´s the leader of the fallen angels.Not to be confounded with Lucifer the god of light in Neo-Luciferianism and for example Luciferian Wicca who has nothing to do with Satan.
