Sora1499
I'm working on a few random LIGHT monsters as well as a whole LIGHT archetype, so I though I'd share this with you guys as a preview. Please review, comment, and give constructive criticism. If I get a good review, I may be inclined to 'like' it. newhat
This seems...abusable. You Special Summon it as a 1 for 1 and reveal a card in your opponent's hand. If you can trigger Appropriate, you can use this as an engine for Appropriate. It also combos with Mind Crush, I guess. Most importantly, since the Summoning procedure is a Summoning procedure, not an effect, you can use Gellenduo or Photon Sanctuary to speed out Angel O7, then Summon as many of these as possible and strip your opponent's hand of cards. It would be hard to make it more than 1 for 1, but I can see it working.
Sora1499
It's abusable, but is it inherently broken? I doubt it. The more important question is, is it OP'd?
Galkin
It isn't broken by itself. But, this card is a free summon (for swarming) and with Skill Drain, it is a +1 on summon. You can swarm the field and empty the opponent's hand. In worse case scenario, you get a free summon (with 1400 ATK) and you know 1 card in your opponent's hand. It's powerful because it has no real cost and 2 effects, giving you advantage. Monarchs have a new toy. They activate this, know 1 card in your hand (and potentially get rid of 1 card you really planned on using) and have quick tribute fodder. Granted, Treeborn is more reliable because it is always there, but this really lets them start off super quick. But yeah, the main problem is that it is a free summon with decent ATK AND an effect that can result in a +1 for you. On top of this, it makes it incredibly splashable for all manner of XYZ, Synchro, Tribute decks. One particular combo I can name right off the bat is: - Skill Drain - *Have face-up "Mist Valley Falcon" - Summon this, opponent loses 1 card - Attack with Falcon *return Top Hat* - Summon her again, opponent loses 1 card Another simple one is simply Genex Ally birdman (again with Skill Drain) to return her to the hand for a -2 to their hands and XYZ/Synchro. Easily abused card.
Sora1499
Ah. I'll fix it then. Update: Made her effect only able to activate once per turn and only gave her 400 Atk.
Sleepy
It is a solid card. Depending on what the draw is, you can now use Mind Crush on top of having your Monarch ready. Which is not terribly overwhelming, but sounds like a pretty respectable combo. I've been thinking about some way to abuse this for a few minutes, and nothing really has come to mind.... Randomflyingobjects
Of course, this card is going to be abusable. Very abusable. But honestly, the first way I'd use this card is probably Xyz Summoning, making a combo with something like Marauding Captain, whith a potential to get three level threes on the field, and use them as a quick Terra-byte. Or any number of other Xyz combos. On top of that, you can easily summon him and tribute him to have a quick level 5-6 monster. Also, he can make the opponent have to rethink their strategy, by getting rid of one of the cards in the hand. Then, the opponent does get one card, but this could crumble their strategy. Oh, and you get to look at their new card, just to see if it's a big trap like Mirror Force. Broken? Maybe a little.
Sora1499
And what would you do if you saw that it was mirror force? You'd have to expend an extra spell/trap destroying effect to get rid of it, which can save your opponent time as well as allow them to set up combos involving cards like continuous or field spells. Strider Tigerwolf
Solid card is solid. It's a 1 time Summon that allows you to pick off, and by design is a neutral +0 as your opponent doesn't lose hand advantage BUT you do get a free look at their added card. It's LIGHT making it splashable in Chaos Decks and it's a Level 3 which comboes extremely well with both Synchros AND Xyzs. It will probably be a staple in most decks, and given it's flexibility could get hit to 2, maybe even 1, but the design is being implemented in a good fashion which is decent. [/quote]...OR you could plan around it, like putting half your monsters in DEF mode, or holding back your Normal Summon until the Main Phase 2. Though I do see your point. And, like the other guy said, it would easily get bumped down to the Limited list.
