10 rounds, seeing how far I could take Junk Doppel before getting X-3 and dropping.

Round 1: VS Wind-Ups
It was fairly easy Game 1. I popped his Factory with a Ryko and kept him from searching, and beat over his Rabbits with Frozen Fitzgerald. Game 2 he takes because I draw 3 Junk Synchrons and all of my Veilers, and topdeck Quickdraw. Game 3, I drop Quasar and seal the match.
Record: 1-0

Round 2: VS Wind-Ups again
He opens Magician + Shark all three games. I only survive game 2 because I risk a power play under Maxx "C" and he doesn't draw Gorz.
Record: 1-1

Round 3: VS Agents
The guy was only playing for fun, he said. Game 1 I drop Quasar for game and flip Decree on his Gozen game 2, using his Stardust to make Shooting Star and making Quasar again next turn for game.
Record: 2-1

Round 4: VS Chaos Dragons
He sacked the whole game through. Opens double Rai-Oh and has no less than 3 Chaos monsters in-hand at all times. I lose both games quickly.
Record: 2-2

Round 5: VS ??????
Opponent doesn't show. I get the win. No complaints there.
Record: 3-2

Round 6: VS Frognarchs
This guy was seriously skilled. Game one is somewhat back and forth, but he had no knowledge of Quasar's existence and lost to the surprise factor. Game two is really tense and back-and-forth. He drops Maxx C as I make Quasar and he draws 9 cards off it. He double E-Cons and I negate them both with Judgment, then he Creature Swaps Main 2 after killing Level Eater with a random Shine Elf. Next turn he Veilers my topdecked Junk Synchron, and I'm forced to Reborn Dandylion (Which he lets through). I drop Orient and use SEGOC to order the chain so Quasar can't touch Orient, and nab myself Shooting Star. He responds by dropping Sea Lancer and a Gachi, then booking and running over my Shooting Star. After that, I try to hold on with a Armory-Arm'd Orient and a Catastor, which he ends up Dark Hole-ing and dropping LADD for game. Holy hell, that was fun.
Game 3 we go into time. I drop Quasar immediately and he scoops.
Record: 4-2

Round 7: VS Geargi-Machina
He opened triple Fortress both games. What am I supposed to do against something like that?
I lose and hit 4-3 record, and decide to drop. It was already almost midnight anyways and I had a two hour drive home, so I gathered up my carpooling friends and hit the road.

Overall though, I'm more satisfied than I thought I would be with the results. For being only my second event, I'd say I did pretty well. I had a chance to top for over half the tournament, and I learned that my side-deck needs a bit of tweaking.

Frognarch match seemed pretty interesting.

Chaos Dragons literally are Lucksack.dek
...Kind of like Gallis, but more lack-luster.

Also, in round 5, you remember any of the cards he used? I'm wondering exactly what he was using.

Dandy and Orient are both mandatory effects, so I guess he made the chain go like: Orient Chain link 1, Dandy Chain link 2 so Quasar would not be able to chain to Orients effect.

EDIT: Welp, got ninja'd.

Orient and Dandylion are both Mandatory trigger effects. Since they both have to occur in response to the Synchro Summon (As materials going to the grave happens in the same motion), I get to decide the chain order. I placed Orient as Link 1 and Dandy as Link 2 since they both must be placed on the chain first, thereby protecting Orient's effect from Quasar's negating effect.
Basically, I used Dandylion as a protective barrier on the chain.

Is such a thing possible?

Yes, because SEGOC. Orient and Dandy have the same activation timing, meaning that the turn player would decide how the effects activate and resolve. Basically, SEGOC (Simultaneous Effects Go On Chain) works like this:
Link 1) Turn Player's mandatory effect(s)
Link 2) Opponent's mandatory effect(s)
Link 3) Turn Player has priority to activate an optional Trigger or Quick effect(s)
Link 4) Opponent has a chance to respond and activate an optional Trigger or Quick effect(s)

That clear things up?
