Nathanael D. Striker
Sad thing is, it was the already bitter Syrian government. Since Turkey is apart of NATO, let the fun begin cause if one NATO member is attacked, they all are attacked.
.Spock
Lol. Now I have another reason to be worried about my family. The entire situation will just escalate from here to be honest. Both Turkey and Syria are extremely head-strong countries. In addition the Assad regime is disgusting. I don't see the use in killing your own civilians to get your point across. It's like an argument where one person is talking things through using reasoning and logic and the other person is shouting them down using a bias, unfair argument. One of them is in the right, but the other is heard through their noise. The Assad regime is noise.
Darth Revan of the Sith
This is terrible. I expected this to happen though. Also can we please not use Fox News for these reports anymore. I really don't find them to be in the least bit credible. Although CNN and NBC aren't exactly better.
Scrooge
But why would the Syrian government provoke another country in combat at this time? As I see it, whoever caused the wearonry to be fired was aiming to have Syria ran over by an external force for reasons unknown. It is a possibility that Turkey and the rebels had had contact before the incident, and that this is a fabricated assault which would allow Turkey to invade the country for whatever interests. A new, possibly democratic government, for what? Oil? After all, the civil war ceased all economic involvement of foreign factors, and thus oil exploitation. But then again, I might just be overeacting.
.Spock
You're probably overreacting. Turkey could've invaded at any point in time from direction of the PM, it only takes the command. The attack is what triggered the PM to take action, no one had any idea how he would react. It would be a gamble at best.
