It's like soccer, but rubbish.

That's my only opinion about it. Big men in weird armor humping each other is odd for me.

put that way reminds me my opinion about mma and jiu jitsu

allright 1 comment i guess! does any one else knows about and or have an opinion about football?

IT'S NOT FOOTBALL!!!! DX
I see no foot use. And it's an Egg. It's hand-egg. v_v
My opinion is it's basically rugby with armour, a smaller pitch, and even less of a point.

There IS a kicker and a punter...

MMA is the best sport,
No.

though if we're going by sports where the point is to take [object x] to the other teams "goal", hockey is the best cuz fistfights are cool.
Ignoring the existence of baseball.

Tbh, Hockey is only good because of the fights. Football used to be awesome, but it's gotten far to many rules and protections. It's less "Gladiator" and more "Man in protective gear". Baseball hasn't really changed much - which is actually good. I still say hitting a 95mph fastball is one of the hardest things to do in sports. Much less that there are guys that throw 105, which is nothing but a blur to the human eye when thrown at 60 feet 6 inches.

In any case, Football is still enjoyable to watch. I just don't like how it's gone from defensive battles of the past to flashy deep TD throws every game. As much as I ADORE Tom Brady (Best QB ever), I'd still rather see more 7 - 3 games and such. More exciting.
It's a slower game, which gives it a lot more facets and strategy involved. And you're an idiot if you say any game has less of a point than another.

The sport iss overhyped. Then again all sports tend to be overhyped.
Idk. Golf is...golf...idk how you can even hype golf.

It's a guy hitting a stationary ball toward a hole. Yay.

Football: Running, catching a ball to get to the other side of the field against a field of other men that are paid to hit and tackle you as hard as possible
Baseball: 95 mph ball coming at your face. Hit it. Not to mention all the other stuff in the sport. It's easily the most taxing sport in terms of brain usage.
Hockey: Hard to stand up on skates, move like them, hit the puck, and literally punch the daylights out of the other team.
Basketball: Not gonna lie...there's no difficulty in a bunch of 6'6 + guys trying to get a ball in a hoop that's not too much taller than them.

Golf: Stationary ball. Hit. Walk. Hit. Walk. Put. Clap.

I like College Football better than Pro Football. The fans are a lot rowdier and the commentary is usually better. And it's always nice to see who is in the running for that Heisman Trophy.

You spelled "putt" wrong. And it's not as simple as that. There's a lot of skill and technicality involved with golf than just whacking the ball. Placing the right amount of fade/draw to bypass obstacles, reading the wind right, having stable control, and having proper geometry/math skills are all vital elements in golf. If it were as simple as you said it was, Tiger Woods would be God.

Of course there is. There is a lot of skill needed, however the basic idea and performance of these skills is much less taxing than any other sport. It's less physically challenging, less mentally challenging (As more often than not, it's not even the golfer selecting the club ect), and much more boring than any other sport.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Being a golfer myself, it IS rather physically challenging, because you want to drive the ball as far as possible on your opening drive. No lanky toothpick that has no muscle is going to play golf; it takes a lot of upper body strength and leverage to make that possible. And the factor of it being boring to you is just how differently people handle anticipation.

I've played golf before. There's a reason a lot of Baseball players play it during the offseason. But that's the thing - to baseball players, golf is just a workout, not a sport on it's own.

Maybe, but some people still consider it a sport. It's still advertised. It's just not as big as some of the other sports, mainly because it takes a lot of time and money to host those events.

Anyways, I didn't want to get off topic because the subject at hand is about football.

And also: Braxton Miller.

If American football is to be called hand-egg, then european football should be divegrass.

HOW DARE WE PROTECT PEOPLE FROM LIFE-ALTERING INJURIES, BRAIN DAMAGE, AND MAKE IT LESS LIKELY FOR THEM TO BE SEVERLY INJURED?

Seriously, the rules and protections are to keep the players safer. You know how the NFL is being sued...its because of the lack of safety they had. Its either this - More rules and protection or no footbal.

Also, Tom Brady isn't the best QB ever. Unitas was, hands down.

American football is my favorite sport. During the season, that's how I spend most of my weekends, watching any and every game I can find on TV, occasionally watching a Nascar race or a baseball/basketball game whenever an American football isn't on. But, yeah, American football is awesome.

As for who I root for: Atlanta Falcons/Detroit Lions in the NFL and Georgia Bulldogs in the NCAA.
I don't like the Falcons because their owner is a poser and their GM is an idiot.

I don't like the Lions because they're all a bunch of knuckleheads.

I don't like Georgia because... I don't actually have a reason. SEC maybe? Idk, I don't really care about Georgia.

I'm from Georgia so I always root for Georgia and all of the Atlanta teams. I despise Georgia Tech though.

As for the Lions, I don't actually know why I root for them, my parents said when I was little, they were my favorite team because I liked their uniforms and I guess it just stuck.
