Because since it's invention, this card has appeared four times in six duels in my fic. I love this card. It's not as good as Chalice, but it is versatile and quite wonderful. Do you love this card? Lance is better than this most of the time, though, since once something is already targeting your monster you can't chain this to negate the targeting. Lance negates troublesome Spell/Traps that "Target" and do something other than Destruction, and so Does Chalice against monster effects. Once the target is selected, activating Garment will not "negate" the targeting or prevent it in any way. This must be activated preemptively. Fan-tastic. Anyhow. Shroud is better for protecting your own monsters in Samurai because there's no Guaiba-type thing you want to give big cutting boosts to. OT: Yeah, nothing that's not already been said. Lance is the best of the Forbidden Spells. I don't know anyone who uses Chalice, and this is just plain...silly. Kills Snowman Eater, Kinetic Soldier, etc. Though Skill Drain also works, it still lets you use things like Blade Armor at the same time. And a quick-play. The target part is never going to get you anywhere, except in the case of Snowman, Ryko, or Dimensional Prison, and that's if you activate it -beforehand-. [/quote] Would it make you feel better if immediately after this picture, she strips down (among other things) before putting the garment on? OT: the fact that it doesn't negate the targeting once it's been made really hurts it. Still, protection from effect monster-based destruction effects is decent.
