ITT: ABGC/ABC makes an archetype

Recommended Posts

This is an archetype that is based on adding its monsters to your hand en masse, then unleashing them by Summoning the main card of the Deck, The Great Facade Artist. They are all DARK, have no DEF, and most are either Warriors or Fiends. Once you swarm the field, the goal is to adjust the Level of your monsters in order to Summon cards from your Extra Deck. Once that is over with, you shall try to pick up the pieces and prepare to repeat.

Each and every picture is from JazinKay. Also, the cardmaker is being slow and the instances where it won't give me a picture link make me want to kick babies.

You should be able to read all of them. In case you don't, then please eat more carrots.

It would have been nice with the lore so I could have copy pasted it to fix errors, but that's okay since you didn't really have any :P

Lifeleech: It's pretty OP to have 1000 damage when a monster is summoned, I suggest you tone it down a bit.

Retraction: Typicly, returning cards that has been banished is not something that's very easy.

Facade of Ruin: Maybe add a cost to this card, like 500 Life Points or something.

Facade of Ending: Okay, 1500 Life Points to yourself plus destory what ever card you want? Yeah it's pretty OP in my opinion, maybe make it a card you own, or discard/bannish those two cards.

Okay, so some cards are pretty OP, but overall pretty balanced and I could see the use for them. But you keep talking about this The Great Facade Artist, yet I don't see it anywhere. Do I need to eat more carrots, or did you just forget to put it in?

The Great Facade Artists is overpowered. There needs more to limit its ability, not just the fact that book of moon can stop it, after all, book of moon is a limited card. And it should be so harder to summon.
Its cool that you are building an archetype around 1 card, but it really doesn't work if that card is overpowered.

In all honesty, Lifeleech is probably the weakest card here. It only gets you Rank 5s and Level 6 Synchros, compared to the rest of the archetype, which gives you more options. And it only works when it is Summoned, btw. Not if anything is Summoned.
Retraction: Typicly, returning cards that has been banished is not something that's very easy.
But the thing with Retraction is that your cards are more likely to be in the Graveyard. Therefore, you'll be more likely to add cards from your Grave to your hand, making this a bit inconsistent. But it exists for Spectre/Dicer shenanigans.
Facade of Ruin: Maybe add a cost to this card, like 500 Life Points or something.
Maybe for the secondary effect, but not for the first one.
Facade of Ending: Okay, 1500 Life Points to yourself plus destory what ever card you want? Yeah it's pretty OP in my opinion, maybe make it a card you own, or discard/bannish those two cards.
If I want to nerf Ending, either of those two ways would make it a very terrible card. Altar For Tribute/Emergency Provisions heals myself at the cost of my own cards well enough, and discarding two cards to kill one (and gain 1500 LP) is too much of a cost. Instead, I'll consider having the target be either face-up or face-down.

Try the very first card in the monsters section.

Meh, I'll give it a 2 card max for its SS. One makes it a shitty Marauding Captain, and the low chance of SSing more than 2 seems to scare people. Though, you do realize CED and BTH stop it too, right?

Gave Overlord 200 more ATK because his potential looks really narrow. It doesn't really help, but I haven't been convinced to make him Level 7 (and change his effect accordingly, including an effect to make himself Level 8).

Also changed "monster" in Lifeleech to "card" because that was getting on my nerves.

And made it where Retraction can't get TGFA because as it stands, TGFA is looks pretty unkillable.
