Tribute Summoning, back in the game's prime, was the only method of getting powerful monsters out on the field. But now, with the addition of the power creep monsters known as Synchros and Xyzs, Tribute Summoning has become an outclassed and forgotten mechanic. Tribute Fodder attempts to bring this mechanic back while still maintaining field advantage. It's stats are no joke, but this prehistoric terror has a terrifying effect. This card allows you to take full advantage of Tribute Summoning monsters, while simultaneously bringing itself back to use its effect again for another Normal/Tribute Summon. Also, it combos well with Offering.

Treeborn is still better in most cases because it sets itself up for you, though that's hardly a fair argument.

This card, while letting you have backrow, is reliant on your hand being full of previously-dead Monarchs/other Tribute Summon monsters in order to get much done since this won't have much Snychro/Xyz synergy with the monsters it brings out.

The Monarchs-with-backrow thing is nice, and this being a kind-of Illusory Snatcher is too. It's just that it's slow, probably outclassed by D.D. Survivor since its Deck runs Marco and Survivor revives himself from anything (albeit not immediately), and needs a few Tribute Summon monsters in your hand after spending some time to set this up to work well. But since Treeborn could, arguably, go to hell, this could be a nice replacement for the free Double Summon and the 1800 body. [s]And it should be a Steelswarm.[/s]
