byak Posted November 9, 2012 Report Share Posted November 9, 2012 haters hatin on fool when it makes Reaper and Heliosphere good ; - ;
Spellbook of Sepher Normal Spell Card If you control a Spellcaster-Type monster: You can reveal 1 other "Spellbook" Spell Card in your hand to target 1 "Spellbook" Normal Spell Card in your Graveyard, except "Spellbook of Sepher" ;This card's effect becomes the same as the target's. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook of Sepher" per turn.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight Posted November 9, 2012 Report Share Posted November 9, 2012 Fool disallow you to use reaper's effects entirely on the turn you summon it. Temperance may disallow you to SS another Spellcaster after summoning Reaper but it only at least get you a spellbook. Fool is utter crap and reaper is just decent. Sepher is looking good as the requirement isn't hard to fulfill and at least havr a good spellbook target inthe grave. @Byakk - SLotH is not good as it doesn't always guaranteed you at least 1 card and then it would feel wasted. byak Posted November 9, 2012 Report Share Posted November 9, 2012 Yeah, the idea is that you use Batel + Star Hall to beat down and cycle through your deck until you can set up Reaper/Fool/Destroyer, then you just win off of the advantage from that. Love of Ghibli Posted November 10, 2012 Report Share Posted November 10, 2012 And if you get a hand of Wisdom, Power, Life....aka non Batel searches you auto loose...or if you don't draw into Hermit...you still loose....yeah no. Heliosphere has a modicum of uncertainty and luck instilled in it. By default there is no need to use it in a spellbook deck reaper gets other darks...that's sad. well sepher (putting money on lame name change like "Copy") is still great because it only takes the effect and not the name so it might as well be a staple lol Though I wonder can it copy star hall. Me_Gustos Posted November 10, 2012 Report Share Posted November 10, 2012 I personally love the Spellbooks/Prophecies. They can do do some pretty hardcore stuff. All i need to complete my deck is 2 Spellbook field card, which i wasnt able to get a hold of at the Abyss Rising Sneak Peak. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
werewolfjedi Posted November 12, 2012 Report Share Posted November 12, 2012 to be quite honest. fool is funny cause it doesn't care at moment of activation, just if you did, and at the end you have 5 in grave. using that into reaper is more useful than people realize, plus it gives fodder and targets for the field spell, that new book, junon, strength, it fixes problems and puts things in the way. plus it has 1600 ATK, which you people seem to forget in prophecy, means it has 2600 ATK, which is enough to be useful. cause it's fool secret to grave1, use cipher for secret2, grab power3, use power, kill something, get secret4, play for tower, you have 4 in grave tower ready to go and now you switch out fool for reaper by playing basically any spellbook. also, my hand is still filled up with 5 cards, one of them a spellbook, if I wanted, I could play tower, which is a very good move if you ask me since if they do kill it I should be able to grab another reaper at max stacks.anyway, I could find this stuff REALLY useful in general, considering the XYZ rank 6 area Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
