My first Warrior Deck.

Recommended Posts

This is my attempt to make a second deck, and it is based around my only 3 Elemental Heroes, Avian, Burstinatrix and Flame Wingman. I took the time to make sure there were exactly 40 cards in this deck.

I wanted to play with a deck that`s not my exodia deck (Even though I`ve only had exodia for like 3-5 days, and STILL have not collected all 5 peices in a game XD), so I took some E. Heroes, a Xyz Symphony Starter Deck, a synchro, and some random cards from my collection. The result was this.

Most of the monsters in this Deck are Warrior tupe. Some of them are different types, though.

Picture is not ready yet, but here`s the contents:

MONSTERS
Ganbara Knight
Zubaba Knight
Turret Warrior
Chiron the Mage
Changer Synchron (He`s a tuner)
Feedback Warrior (Works great with Changer Synchron... lolz)
Giant Rat (Because a lot of the monsters in this Deck are EARTH)
Giant Rat (Yes I`m running 2)
Marauding Captian
Penguin Soldier
Sangan
Goblindbergh
Trident Warrior
Shining Angel
Cyber Dragon
Stinging Swordsman
Swallowtail Butterspy
Alexandrite Dragon
Elemental Hero Avian
Elemental Hero Burstinatrix

SPELLS
Polymerization
Mystical Space Typhoon (MST)
Burden of the Mighty
Star Changer
Fissure
Sheild Crush
Gravity Axe - Grarl
Reinforcement of the Army
Swords of Revealing Light
Hero Mask (I lost Hero Mask just now, so until I find it, I will be using Ego Boost instead)

TRAPS
Call of the Haunted
Trap Hole
Draining Shield
Magic Cylinder
Sakuretsu Armor
Seven Tools of the Bandit
Nitwit Outwit
Spellbinding Circle
Wild Tornado (I originally put Dust Tornado in, but I took it out for Wild Tornado)

EXTRA DECK
Elemental Hero Flame Wingman
Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth
Number 39: Utopia

Please reply with your feedback on this Deck.
If you think I should make any changes, please post that here too.

You're probably playing Exodia wrong if you can't get a win.

And the bold part is what is wrong with this deck. You've got so much random stuff here. Pick a win condition other than simply "Warriors". Warriors is a type, not a win condition or theme of any sort.

You can also run multiple cards. Things like 3 MST, 3 Cyber Dragon and so on. Unless it's restricted by the Ban List, you should be running 2-3 copies of your best cards.

Another thing: staples. Aside from a single MST, you're not running any of the staple cards. The staples these days are:

2-3 MST
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm

2 Torrential Tribute
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment

Practically every deck runs these cards, with a few exceptions. You would never run Monster Reborn in a Macro Monarch deck, for example. And Chaos Dragons tend to run 0 traps more often than not.

Most of the time, though, you should at least include those cards.

This is just a pile of random cards.

Read the deck building guide.

When I first started Yugioh, I decidedto get the 5Ds starter deck

The 5Ds Starter Deck Manual (which i just realized isn`t the best for deck layouts) suggested to make half of your deck Monsters, and the other half Spells and Traps. I use that for all my decks. (more like "my deck" cause i only hjave 1 in rl xD)
I made this to use card effects like Turret Warrior abd Maurauding Captian.

I was running both my E. Heroes in my exodia deck, which was filled with random types. I also ran Hero Mask, but I was told that wouldn`t work with my Fusion E. Heroes unless I had a solid deck that works well with them. And I really wanted to run my E. Heroes, so I made this.

As for the "Staple" cards, that`s good advice. Here`s the problem, though: My only Monster Reborn and Dark Hole is in my exodia deck, so is my Torrential Tribute and Solemn Judgement. Dueling Network sounds nice but I haven`t found out how to make decks on it.

The manual is a load of crap.
I wouldn't call it crap, but it is pretty bad at explaining deck-building. It depends on the deck. For example, Chaos Dragons generally run 25-30 Monsters 10-15 Spells, and usually 0 Traps. It all depends on how the deck works.

And you may not have the staples, but if you want to get really good at the game in real life, you're gonna have to spend quite a bit of money to gather the right cards depending on the deck. Otherwise, if you're not willing to spend money, stick to playing on Dueling Network.

Your deck IS just a pile of random cards.

Seriously, if you read the deck tutorial posted in this section, it explains it much better than I could in a single post.

I read it.

1. Get my normal E. Heroes out then use Poly(merization) to bring out Flame Wingman. After that, when Flame Wingman attacks and destroys, it gives the same damage as a direct attack from him, then begin to attack.
2. Set Changer Synchron and play Swords of Revealing Light. Then, on my next turn, Flip Summon Changer and Normal Summon Feedback Warrior to target my Changer Synchron. Then, I can Synchro Summon Gaia Knight, and change 1 of my opponent`s monsters Battle Position Then I start attacking.
3. Normal Summon Ganbara. Then, on my next turn, Normal Summon Zubaba and attack a Defense Position monster with Zubaba Knight -- bye bye Defense Position Monster. Then I can overlay them both for Number 39 Utopia, so I can negate 2 attacks, giving me time to attack most likely enough times to win.

I found a few win conditions with this deck. Here they are.

1. Get my normal E. Heroes out then use Poly(merization) to bring out Flame Wingman. After that, when Flame Wingman attacks and destroys, it gives the same damage as a direct attack from him, then attack a few times for a win. Not a win condition
2. Set Changer Synchron and play Swords of Revealing Light. Then, on my next turn, Flip Summon Changer and Normal Summon Feedback Warrior to target my Changer Synchron. Then, I can Synchro Summon Gaia Knight, and change 1 of my opponent`s monsters Battle Position Then I can attack a few times and win. Not a win condition

Those aren't win conditions that's playing the card and using it effect. a win condition is a basic set that pretty much gets you to game regardless. As it stands you don't have a win condition. Your "deck" is just an amalgamation of warrior cards that don't go together. You shouldn't have to hope for repeated successful attacks to win, you should be able to get you a set up that no matter what your opponent does you can win within a couple of turns.

The possibe win condition of this Deck is to defend my Life Points as long as possible, until I get a chance to bring out my Fusion, Synchro or Xyz, then attack as much as I can.

Chris, before you just call someone`s Deck "a pile of random cards", think about what the Deck does and how it cn work, if it could.

When I said to read the deck guide, I meant the entire deck guide, not just the first section.

Not to mention, I know what decks work and what decks don't, and I also realise the importance of functional deck building. Your deck may not appear to be random to you, but from a competitive, nay, a remotely competent standpoint it falls short in every single area, and is thus deemed to be a "pile of random cards".

I just took the time to read the rest of it.

Reposted with 2 examples of how the deck works with the deck building guide, but maybe I might have to add more, or maybe rearrange the deck a bit.

I reposted this (again), but with a lot of changes.
