Premier Alexander Romanov
So, I was wondering if I could propose ideas in here that are not necessarily Realistic Cards.I have an idea for a Bleach-based archetype involving the Shinigami and their Zanpakuto, but I this is the only Card Planning Thread I can find. Premier Alexander Romanov
That's exactly what I was going to do.Each Shinigami (name pending) gains a secondary effect when equipped with a Zanpakuto (name pending), but the Zanpakuto, when activated, have two sets of effects. The first one is a standard equip effect, but the second, if you control the corresponding Shinigami to it, can Special Summon that Zanpakuto as a monster. Finally, the Bankai (name pending) are Xyz Monsters that are rather powerful, but gain effects based on the specific Xyz Materials used to Xyz Summon them (the Shinigami and its Zanpakuto), and are destroyed if they don't have Xyz Materials, but they Special Summon the original Shinigami. What do you guys think? Also, I am hesitant to simply call them those names, but I can't think of anything that sounds original and cool without directly referring to their status as death gods. Zazubat
I'm brainstorming an idea for an Archetype. The name is Digitail, it's animal machines, get it? Anyway, I am thinking of making them about Piercing, and giving them effects that activate when they're Summoned. Any other ideas?
L0SS
I'm brainstorming an idea for an Archetype. The name is Digitail, it's animal machines, get it? Anyway, I am thinking of making them about Piercing, and giving them effects that activate when they're Summoned. Any other ideas? So, does being part machine make them better at their job? For instance, are they better predators; and so would benefit from a sort of 'hunt' effect, which could be negating the effect of an opponent's monster, or changing to defence position in order to kill it more easily? Likewise, a fast, agile animal would benefit from a sort of summoning effect, or another way to simulate speed. A tough, strong animal would be highly resilient, and so would benefit from a grave effect to show that it can't be taken down easily. Basically, my advice is to make them as flavoursome as possible. Working something out using piercing could be interesting, too.

宇佐見 蓮子@C94
I have an archetype I've had in the planning for quite a while now, it's called Seasonal Heralds. Basically, there are 4 Monsters (and maybe 2 or so random junk tech), with several support cards. The idea for them is that each of them announce the coming of a new season, but I'm still not quite sure how that will work. obv because this is me they'll all be lolis. Aix
obv because this is me they'll all be lolis. Yay. They could all have Continuous Effects and a Summoning condition (from the hand) of returning a specific Seasonal Herald to the hand (e.g. you return "Spring" to Special Summon "Summer) and they each have a unique searching method. For added power, make it a Spell Speed 2 Effect Summon that can be done during either player's turn.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
I actually went and made them a control deck, but gave them the ability to summon each other, with the sequence of Spring -> Summer -> Autumn -> Winter -> Spring. Their searching method would be to place Seasonal monsters on the deck at certain orders, and their effects would help with that.
AnewRelevance
I have come up with some ideas that are of my opinion vary well good idea, fist off the art concepts for "Stardust" is "The Woman Clothed in the Sun", and "Red Dragon Archfiend" is based on "The Great Red Dragon" both of each are created by Wiliam Blake. But in that 3 part painting he created the painting "The Beast from the Deep" which I would like to use as the concept of this dragon, at the vary least its name(as a stupid note Id like dragon to appear 1st in its name) Also as for its effect, Stardust focuses on "protection" and Red focuses on "destruction", so I want to use a unique effect, and by unique I mean somthin out of dust, so new and truly interesting. But it needs to relate to the word that sits inbetween protection and destruction........I wanna say "Managing" Also they say that some of SDDs design is based on the Alien archetype, and RDAs is based on the Archfiends, so it would also be cool to come up with somthing to "merge" designs. Also be cool to make its ATK 2750 and its DEF 2000 //'-'\\ I look forward to listening to everyone's opinions on just about everything........but there has to be one, and only one rule............IT'S ATTRIBUTE MUST BE WATER......anything else is up for everyone's opinion This WHOLE TOPIC is just 4 FUN, I'm lookin for everyone's opinion, I don't mind if u joke because in all honesty it's a good laugh:)). I am jus borde and I'm lookin for others opinion on this subject is all I would enjoy, I want to write a fanfiction(or commission one) so I admire all and everyone's opinion. AnewRelevance
I'm dearly sorry Mr Ikari, let me summarize this a bit more clearly... Basically my thoughts on the 7th Signer Dragon, they....involve the following concepts. 1. It would be based on a actual painting like RDA and SDD, namely from the same artist Wiliam Blake, I was hoping to use "The Beast from the Deep" in both concept and to form a name. 2. SDD,s effect focuses on "protection", while RDA,s effect is to for mainly "destroying" both vary unique. So for this dragon I'm looking to others in the purpose of creating a unique effect based on "managing" 3. Attribute must be WATER....there I said it. 4. I don't reletivly care what it's ATK and DEF are, I'm looking to others on that accord. 5. Stardust Dragon shares similar design to the "Alien" archetype, while Red Dragon Archfiend is sharing similar looks to the "Archfiend" archetype. So if we apply similar design to this dragon from an archetype, what-would-it-be? 6. As for its name, I'm up for opinions, I'm looking to make "Dragon" apper 1st in its name. To put it simply, This Dragon is gonna be the "grey line between the black and the white" or "the dragon that is center of Stardust and Arcfiend". This is just a fun project I was looking to try out and see what others thought and said, I'm looking forward to all and everyone's questions and opinions. :
AnewRelevance
On 2 I'm just gonna go into what I mean by a "managing effect". Mainly it's an effect to keep yourself "out-of-the-water" and at the same time adds abit of "ware and tear" to the opponent where it can give you the opritunity. But basically it's well......whatever the "word" that is inbetween "protect" and "destroy", and what I've been trying to do is come up with somthing unique.... Premier Alexander Romanov
Posting multiple times after yourself is highly frowned upon here, and I think it might even be illegal. You can edit your posts. There should be a handy "Edit" button at the bottom of each of your posts. That being said, your points make little sense. I have not heard this William Blake portrait connection between Stardust and Red Dragon. Would you care to either elaborate or give us a link to your source of information? Also, could you please not use buzzwords in quotation marks to emphasize words? It sounds incredibly pretentious. Plus, they don't really make a coherent statement together. You want something that balances destruction and protection, yet manages the two together, and keeps you out of water, though it's WATER? And you want it to be unique... Hmm... How about an effect similar to Junk Archer's, but it can respond to the activation of an effect? Instead of doing the negating effects thing a lot of monsters do nowadays, it simply removes the monster from the equation altogether by banishing that monster for a turn? Zazubat
I am having an idea for a Gemini Archetype, this is the first card in it. What do you think? Is it a possible idea? Any good names for it as well? Right now, all the pictures are kinda cute like this one, which is why I named it as it is. I got 2 other names, Tiny Troublemakers and Mythicals (a portmanteau of Mythical and Mystical) You can target 1 face-up "Small Bravery" monster you control; equip this card from your hand to that target as an Equip Spell Card. A monster equipped with this card is treated as an Effect Monster, and gains its effects. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect. * You can return 1 "Small Bravery" card that is equipped to this card to your hand; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Gemini Monster from your Deck, but it cannot attack this turn. This effect of "Small Bravery - Manticore" can only be activated once per turn.
AnewRelevance
I had thought that a banishing effect whether for itself or the opposing individual might be interesting, to use that and I had a thought of manipulating positions whether for its self or others. Premier Alexander Romanov
I also have an idea for a new subtype of monsters called Link Monsters. Taking a page from the book of Duel Masters, Link Monsters are similar to the Survivors from that game in that they grant all other Link Monsters a specific effect. They are relatively weak on their own, but their effects can quickly stack together to make them more and more powerful. What do you guys think? Mehmani
Just for some clarification about your archetype sketch, Zazu - say, for example, Giant Rat was attacked - would it's tutoring effect activate? I don't so, but to be honest, that's where the power in your archetype would lie. How about extending it to negating the effects on any card it battles until the End Phase?
