High ATK for Zexal Series Monsters

Recommended Posts

Have you never heard the expression the best offence is a good defence?

Yu-Gi-Oh! isn't like things like Vanguard where defence and attacking are both nessacary, and you can specialised in one to win the second.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! you will win by blundgoning your opponent to death, all defending would be is stalling, which is dull for the other team to play against. The only defensive deck that works in the game is Control, becuase it's making your opponent do the plays you want, not what they want. No other defensive force can really compare to that IMO.

ATK isn't as high of a priority as effects and support. Xyzs, for example, wouldn't be nearly as fast and powerful if support cards like TGU or that damned varmint Rescue Rabbit didn't exist. Utopia has unimpressive ATK for its costs (at least compared to the beginnings of the game) but its effects are the real killers. Game-winning attacks are the ends, but effects are the means.

You don't know memes huh?

But yea all you can do with a Vanilla is give it a bunch of attack. There's no other way to buff them.
They made support cards for Vanillas but they usually end up with them going into Xyz so it's not a Vanilla deck like I'm sure you want.

If there was a good deck around Defence, it would be boring to play against, or would have to mix Offence with the Defence to stay interesting and fun for both players.

Would be fun if you could have more of those situations where your opponent attacks into your face down with a level 5 pluss monster expecting to nuke it, but taking damage instead.
You only have defender to do that these days.

Don't forget that almost all Level 4 or below monsters with 2000 ATK or more than 2000 DEF tend to have huge side effects, like Defender giving your opponent an extra draw every turn, which is so counterproductive to defense that it's only really run in Decks that use the drawing as part of the win condition.

Other than Defender, the highest defense for a Level 4 monster without a horrible side effect is 2200, off the top of my head, belonging to Gear Golem the Moving Fortress. If you want them to release better defense monsters, except huge side effects that completely nullify their value.

super crashbug really only has the summoning condition holding it back, and its not a hard one to achieve with the right deck.

like its not a competitive card by any means but it would be fun in casual play.

Problem with this card is that if you tribute set a monster your opponent unless he/she is derpy, will not attack it and proceed to nuke with a card effect.
