A record $550 million Powerball finally has a winner, or rather winners! Dearborn, Missouri residents Mark and Cindy Hill claimed half of the grand prize, while the other half currently belongs to a lucky unnamed person in Arizona. Meanwhile, Egyptian protests continue as Egypt passes a draft constitution in the hopes of a "freer and more open society."
Powerball winners don't really count as news, more like housewife gossip.

Egypt seems fun though, seems like something that could snowball. I mean, the Middle East never adopted the western philosophy or enlightenment principles especially separation of church and state. I don't think it'll pass, there's too much aggression that makes people fall back on something traditional like the Muslim Brotherhood who supports Islamic law. Perhaps in a few years once especially once anti-Western tensions die down from the Iraq and Libya. However should it pass, it could hint at a new period where Islam and Government separates in the region... though it's wishful thinking.

News that should be talked about: The Syrian government cut their own citizens from wireless communication and the internet for a black out and the UN's vote to recognize Palastine as a observing non-Member meaning they can bring Israel to international court and begin to be identified closer to a nation.

I included it only because it was a record, not because Powerball in general. It was mostly to *puts on sunglasses* get the ball rolling.

Anyway, about Syria, I will add this and this so that people unfamiliar with the story can see what has happened.

As for Palestine being recognized by the UN, you can read about it here and here. The US was very against this recognition, but the UN overwhemingly voted to accept Palestine.

Religion in the Middle East is far more integrated with their way of life than it is in the United States, so it is harder to separate them.

Are you going to keep a tab for Members? Because if so, I really like this idea and would like in.
I will for people who plan on being active here. I'm just not going through the standard club sign-up atm.

News updated with Kansas City Chiefs murder/suicide.

Didn't the wrestler Chris Benoit do the same thing?

Though I read the article, and it said he shot his girlfriend, then later shot himself in front of his coach and manager at the fields he practiced at. It also said that a possible motif was arguing with his girlfriend... okay then? Must have been either a hell of an argument, or a hell of a reason to argue.

Not to mention they had a 3-month-old daughter. That's gotta suck.

Chris Benoit basically did the same thing. He killed his wife, children and then himself after saying that he would do so on live tv. Later, the autopsy revealed that his brain was basically mush from the extensive beatings he took. He took way to many chair shots to the face, and that's pretty much why you will never see an Attitude Era again.

You are right about some of what you said. Actually, his brain was mush from that AND doing his "finisher" one too many times, the Diving Headbutt. This gave him so many concussions to the point of his brain resembling that of an 80 year old with Alzheimer's, then adding on the depression from mourning over one of his best, life-long friends, Eddie Guerrero, Benoit went crazy. And this was during the Ruthless Aggression Era, the Attitude Era ended with WWE buying WCW for $2 million.
