~ P O L A R I S ~ Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 Starbursts. I found a half-buried empty Vodka bottle on Brighton Beach. I pocketed it. Didn't check to see what was fully buried, but that's what was half-buried. This was next to an apparently ex-mafia diner. My only doubts about it being ex-mafia regard the prefix. There was a "Red Star Convenience Store" next to that. I'm serious. I bought some Starbursts there, some were red. I remember being particarly satisfied with that purchase because I was worried the cashier might ask questions about the empty Vodka bottle half-buried in my pocket and he didn't. The Starbursts were hard though, plus all the gulls seemed pretty pissed off about my presence. There were a lot of them, hundreds. They had this gangster way of strutting and infinite hatred in their eyes. They would've happily murdered me and pecked at my remains, but they couldn't because they didn't know to unite. It was adorable. The wind off of the Atlantic wanted to murder me too. It had more resolve than the birds and it was frigid, so I went home.
