It's pretty bad. Merlanteans are tight on space already, and this card doesn't net you enough of an advantage to warrant running it over something that you need like Diva or Spike.

-1 that does give you knowledge, but that knowledge isn't even remotely comparable to the advantage given by cards that see the hand, and even those aren't that great in and of themselves unless they allow you to HIT that hand, like Dragged Down and Trap Dustshoot.

Simply informational. Might help with deciding Blind MSTs, but that's terrible. You can make your opponent have to wait for a good draw a turn, as well. It's just...not that great.

What was that quote that you said a while back? Something along the lines of "It tributes! Use it In Hieratics!". I feel that that sort of attitude is being used when it comes to WATER: "It requires WATER monsters? Use it in Merlanteans!"

That was me mocking Hieratics because, well... Discard = Fabled is a plague, and it was nice to see it happen to other decks.

WATER support being used in WATER is at least somewhat logical.
