"damage" archetype (it has to do with taking and inflicting damage of course)

I'm well aware that damage eater and damage mage exist, they can be used with these cards as well.

You can special summon this card (from your graveyard) by banishing 2 "Damage" monsters from your graveyard. You can only Special Summon "Damage Angel" once per turn this way. During either player's turn: you can tribute this card; the next time you would take damage this turn, that damage becomes 0.

Her effect doesn't stack. Meaning if you tribute 2 damage angels for their effects, you will negate the next 1 instance of damage you would take, not 2.

If your opponent took damage this turn, you can special summon this card (from your hand).

^ It's summon effect is main phase only, but the damage that allows it can be inflicted at any previous time that turn.

When this card is Summoned: you can add 1 "Damage" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Damage Seeker". Once per turn: you can discard 1 card; this card gains 800 ATK until the End Phase. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: draw 1 card.

When a monster you control is attacked, during damage calculation: you can discard this card; twice during this turn that attacked monster cannot be destroyed by battle and when that monster battles this turn, you take no battle damage from those battles.

When your opponent takes damage, except battle damage from a direct attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, gain Life Points equal to the amount of damage they took.

^ Unlike damage hunter, special summoning this card starts a chain and is done in response to the damage being inflicted.

2 level 4 monsters
Once per turn: you can detach 1 xyz material from this card; add 1 "Damage" monster from your deck to your hand. These effects can only be applied/resolved while this card has Xyz Material. *This card cannot be destroyed by battle, and your opponent takes all battle damage that you would have taken from battles involving this card. * Once per turn when this card attacks or is attacked, after damage calculation: draw 1 card.  Also destroy the monster this card battled (if any). This card must have a "Damage" monster as an xyz material to activate and to resolve this effect.

Angel: Probably the most useless of the bunch, damage is not that big an issue, I would much rather want a better SS then this card.

Hunter: Pretty powerful compaired to you SS because of banishing above, why didn't you change the ATK/DEF? I'm kind of confused, it's not actually a Trigger and it's not actually a Ignition, I don't know what it is, which makes it confusing to me, but it's probably just my fault.

Seeker: A searching beater. 2200 ATK is quite a lot for a single discard, plus it draws too. Maybe tone it down a little.

Gaurdna (what kind of name is that anyway?): Probably the most useful card in here, it's like Charm of Shabti combined with Impenetrale Attack. Probably too powerful really, it's Effect Veiler for the Battle Phase.

Gainer:[s] It's effect makes no sense. How can your opponent take damage from a direct attack when you can't even do that!? It doens't excist, I hope you mean Effect Damage and not damage from a direct attack.[/s] I get what you mean, except for DIRECT attacks, my fault.

You might want some Synchro Support or something, cause they got nothing going for it right now in terms of getting big guys out.

Thanks for the review.

Angel's main use is getting rank 4 xyz monsters out.

Hunter's summon is used like cyber dragon's, but the requirement is different.

I'll consider removing the ATK boost effect on seeker (its 2200 btw, don't worry I make math errors too), playtesting will be the final judge of that.

damage guardna existed before I made these into an archtype (ignore the date, I updated that), I posted it for completeness. The name comes from cards like necro gardna and big shield gardna (but spelled more like 'guard').

Is gainer really that confusing? If so, how would you word it?
